Among playing only Mid Wars lately I revived my Skyrim installation and discovered the insane mods for graphic enhancements... If you have the luck like me to have a sick gaming PC then you should definately reconsider playing some Skyrim again :cool: I don't want to advertise the game in any way, but I enjoy the new gameplay with these mods!!! :D

I recommend using Nexus Mod Manager to manage all your mods (easy downloading, enabling/disabling of certain mods and installation/deinstallation).

My main mods for graphic are:

DYNAVISION - Dynamic Depth of Field (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12525) - adds dept of field, duh :cool:
Lush Grass (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3288) - adds more grass (better looking too)
ReAl Sun (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/866) - more realistic sun
Realistic Lighting with Customization (http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7654) - very good ligthing modification. Nights will be really dark, so you will have to use your torches/spells (or vampiric powers) to see in dark rooms and after nightfall. This adds the most to the game (remember to put this mod at bottom of load order, like the readme tells)
SKYRIM ENHANCED SHADERS (http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/822) - better shaders
Skyrim Flora Overhaul (http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/141) - better vegetation
W.A.T.E.R (http://www.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13268) - more beautiful watter animations (I don't know if really needed, but it says you should use this GreenWaterFix (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14007) too, to fix the vanilla green water effect caused by post processoring)

Belua Sanguinare Revisited (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17077) - very good Vampire Overhaul! Most fun spell is a transformation into a mist/bat form at highest vampire rank, which lets you fly as long as you can sustain the mana cost :cool:
Calientes Female Body Mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2666) - despite being a "nude" mod in the first place you are able to give the female models underwear too. Consider it a more "natural" looking bodytype for females (I use underwear...ingame at least :cool:). It is used for different body armour overhauls!
Cloaks of Skyrim (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12092) - adds cloak items to the game
Covereyes (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4869) - better looking eyes

I personally think Skyrim is really boring after finishing it once, I dunno if the replayability is just awful or what because I've played Oblivion over and over and over..
Graphics aren't really going to change that.
I hope it does for others though, I did try to replay it a few times but I quit after 10min or I got stuck starting a new game over and over because I kept killing the horse that carries you to Helgen with console commands (I really recommend trying it, it's hilarious).

Maybe I'll change my mind if you recommend something for me to do ingame. o:

Well, the main reason why I love this game now even more than before is the Mod "Belua Sanguinare Revisisted" (Link (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17077)). It's a complete overhaul for vampires and it fits very well. If you are a fan of Vampire games like "Vampire: Masquerade Bloodlines" you will love this mod and play Skyrim all over again like me. It's a total time sink to find nice mods and configurate them (at least when you tweak every little bit like me).

Imho it's worth the effort, not even Diablo III or the nice Mid Wars Map keeps me from playing Skyrim :cool:

fun fact for me: its quite the opposite :D I played Morrowind all over again and again. Then Oblivion only once (I played a full mage, farming all oblivion portals for +50 magicka runes?!) But Skyrim is fun for me :cool:

im hoping Dark Souls on PC does well, From Software pretty much went out of there way to create a PC port despite knowing nothing about the PC platform as it isnt popular in japan outside of VN's/Eroge which dont require even a half decent PC to run.

so despite some of the issues the game is reportedly having with fps and such if all goes well it will pave the way for future pc content.

though Skyrim was definately a console game, if anything the Menu gave it away with how clunky it was with a mouse.

I'm finally getting a new PC with all the latest for around $2000, I'm going to mod this game to hell and back before even beginning to play. Have a combined 1600~hours (disgusting, I know)of Oblivion on 360 and PC, and I still haven't beaten the main quest or fighter's guild. The feeling of finality would ruin it :P

i have GTX570 and I havent had any problems with lag with ~50 mods on.

I use a MSI Hawk 460 GTX and achieve good 30-50 FPS (30 in cities, 50 near winterhold snow regions). It's not about using all enhancement mods, but finding the right ones with the right config! (things like ultra-shadows and ambient occlusion draws much performance for me)

I have been considering adding a couple mods to my computers though because Skyrim graphics for PC look to much a 8 year old console game. If you was limited to just 2 mods to improve visuals which mods would you recommend?

Just for visuals? The default HD texture package from Steam + any real lightning mod you want to test. (if you want to improve more than try some from my list)

It was the last CAI I made before leaving for Israel, so I'm looking forward to using what I learned making it on other CAIs, just got to find the right images to work with. I also found a nice CAI being used by Kyuticz that I would like to use the idea behind for creating some other CAIs. His looks like a Banner or a Tabard design, which I didn't really think would work for a CAI, but his pulls it off with style.

I've -almost- finished building my $2100 PC and having never played Skyrim yet (had it from release, though) I have 188 mods waiting.

Anyone know of any good ones I might have missed? I usually just look for the high endorsed ones on nexus so I skip over a lot.

I find most enb are too dark, like that. It drowns out all the detail and while it makes bad textures look better, it wasn't my cup of tea, at least in oblivion.
Just out of curiosity, have they made one of those shader mods where everything is outlined in black like a sketch/cartoon?

If anyone here has CBBE and is disappointed in the Khajiit female skin (she has hairy nipples! ahhhh!), I did a quick fix last night for myself. Looks pretty decent. They're a little small, and I probably could have made them bigger, but still better than fur covered. After all, that doesn't make much sense.
Basically dl this, and put it in the Skyrim/Data/Textures/Actors/Character/KhajiitFemale folder and replace the existing femalebody.dds file in the folder. Make a backup of the fur covered nipple version if you'd like, or not, first. Up to you.

I tried finding a fix last night that someone else had already done, but all I could find was something that wasn't compatible with the latest CBBE, and wasn't nearly as well done.
And no before anyone asks, I won't link an image of it here on the HoN forums. It's latest version of CBBE's Khajiit female skin, but with nipples that don't look retarded. I'm sure you can use your imagination to know what that looks like. Also, I used one of CBBE's provided nipple textures for it, so it'll look like it does for any other female with CBBE, but blended in to match being on a Khajiit.
