Needed Competitive Hero Ports (Agility) [Archive]

I'm curious as to what people think some of the heros that need to be ported in for competitive play in HoN. We all know that S2 works hard to create new heroes, but let's give them a priority list, shall we? I've allowed multiple selections during the time you vote, so please vote only for the ones you think are needed most. Try not to vote for too many, as that will not help the poll.

AGILITY

Morphling - Morphling (Carry/Pusher/DPS/Ganker)

Silithice - Naga Siren (Semi-Carry/DPS/Ganker)

Azwraith - Phantom Lancer (Carry/Pusher/DPS/Ganker)

Jah'Rakal - Troll Warlord (DPS/Chaser/Permabasher)

Meepo - Geomancer (Semi-Carry/Pusher/Ganker)

Medusa - Gorgon (Support/Pusher/Tank)

Lanaya - Templar Assassin (DPS/Chaser)

Ulfsaar - Ursa Warrior (Semi-Carry/DPS/Tank)

Clinkz - Bone Fletcher (DPS/Chaser/Ganker)

Black Arachnia - Broodmother (Semi-Carry/Lane Controller/DPS/Chaser/Pusher)

Anub'Arak - Nerubian Assassin (Ganker/Instagibber)

Anub'Seran - Nerubian Weaver (Semi-Carry/DPS/Ganker)

Mortred - Phantom Assassin (Carry/DPS)

Some of those heroes are already ported (and/or mingled into new heroes.)

lanaya could be so nice, i really miss her... one of the most fun chars to play, but she needs to be nerfed, cuz of her giant armor reduc, which means so much more in HoN than in dota...

Besides, your polls don't give very conclusive results, in my opinion. Your bars require you to look at each individual result instead of try and pick out the longest bar because of how many votes there are when you only get one. With my polls, you are easily able to tell which ones are wanted more due to the multiple choice option.

Either way, both polls have a good purpose but serve different ones.

There are really only three characters on that list that ultimately matter competitively:

Morphling, Broodmother, and Nerubian Assassin.

You havn't seen some of the killer techies games? (I'm literally not being sarcastic either)
I've seen like 4 matches, before I stopped watching dota games, since ult stick change with techies mashing the other team with multiple nukes and an extension to the initiation.

we need some illusion heroes, slithice, phantom lancer, terrorblade. they make ganking so much more fun - as long as s2 change it so that when illusions are created you dont keep attacking the original target

Naga is a hard carry, not a semicarry. TB should be considered a pusher, that's what he does lategame. Both clinkz, ta and dusa are semicarries.

Only voted for Morph as he's the coolest dude around, NA would be cool too. Brood and TB next prob, TB just because I like him;)

1. morphling

hes a great pick, great from early to late and a good moprhling is HELL to play against.

the only one i think we need (almost) 1:1 in hon.

2. lancer& brood

lancer the sick late pusher and brood the sick early pusher. we lack real pushing heros. give more.

would like some skilltwists tho so they are more fun.

3. reworked meepo.

hes either super overpowered or super useless. give a micro intense multi unit carryish hero, but not meepo.

4. questionable :ursa

i love the burst dps style, hp based agi and the concept of fury swipes.

but i rather would like to see that concept/role in a new/remade hero.

the rest are boring and/or crap.

NA, brood and morph are the only 3 agi heroes who should have any remote shot at being ported into HoN.

1. NA

Definitely the most needed.

2. Meepo

Meepo is a competitive hero, not so much anymore due to nerfs but when he is picked he still owns. I only consider meepo to add diversity to the game. Would be a nice change from all the single target dps/carry agi heros.

3. Ursa

Both Ursa and Lanaya have seen alot of action recently in competitive dota. A hero like ursa or lanaya opens up new strats for ganking by blink/instagib. I prefer ursa as hes not a complete glass-cannon.

4. Morphling/Brood

More viable heros.

The others heros I wouldn't even look at. Completely useless competitive-wise.

Definitely Morphling and Nerubian Assassin, I doubt anyone would argue against them, both are unique and strong heroes. Personally I also want Slithice (her ult is excellent for countering BKB carries, paired with dazzle she can actually lane well), Meeps (too unique to leave behind by far), and a hero with Terrorblade's ult if not the other skills. Terrorblade had a pretty haphazard hero design but his ult was hilarious.

I also voted for brood because people are going to be ****ing reduced to tears if they can't even handle a shitty version of Drow with a shitty version of Viper's ult.

The only thing is, if NA got ported, he would most likely become an auto ban.

There isn't much counter to him at this point..
I mean hell, there wasn't a MAJOR way to counter him in dota.

I mean look at our pool, tempest is a large ban, where as enigma wasn't because the pool was larger. It actually isn't that hard to counter a tempest(nigma), I know that in dota we never even thought about banning enigma, but we DEFF banned NA on multiple occasions.

I do think we need brood, besides scout what other anti-carry do we have?

Brood was one of the best picks when they decided to run a hard carry.

Times have changed, NA has been substantially nerfed, and is a fair hero.

Brood is not a hard carry. If she is ever banned, it's because people don't want to deal with her pushing capabilities, not her dps capabilities.

Well I must not of been privy to the NA stuff.

BUT
you didn't read what i said about brood at all.
She is an ANTI carry, not a hardcarry.
Her miss percentage, stacked with a bkb was used to initiate directly on the carry (causing the carry to not be able to do what he does) while the rest of the team did what they do best.

Even though Nerubian is crap with the new mana burn, the only use he has is to counter Silencer and Obsidian Destoyer

I voted NA, Morph and Brood solely based on all of them being quite unique and very fun to play heroes :). Afaik, NA and Morph are also concidered rather competitive picks.

what we need in this game is anti push, not more pushing power... it is almost impossible to stop pushes witout certain heroes which are most likelly going to be banned, such as behe and kraken

We definitely need a geomancer... a hero that is feared in the hands of a good player, but ignored in the hands of a noob.

It might make those Ophelia haters rage even harder, but too bad for them when I hit level 25 while everyone else is only 16 and I'm 10/0 :D

I was negative to porting NA for a long time but now on second thoughts, I think it's a mandatory port to stop the carry dominance in the game.
I'd like to see brood mother ported though for more pushing abilities but other than that... Let's just say more agi heroes is NOT what this game needs right now.

Since this is the competitive thread I'm guessing that most people here are aware of that HoNs optimal playstyle with this hero pool is typical dota 6.52 playstyle meaning mass carries (preferably with bkb) with defensive support like Lich (plauge rider), warlock, dazzle (demented).

What I'm trying to say is that this game needs a LOT of more gank heroes.
