I was recently banned for 3 days for griefing my team in a match. This is not a ban appeal, I'm happy with the ban, and I knew it was coming. Not that I'm justifying my behavior or anything, I'll firstly explain the situation.

I was solo queued in match making, just normal forest of caldavar. I was placed into a team where the 4 people on my team were in a party together (or seemed to be).

I was in the bot lane as flux, and our mid was a pebbles against a devourer. Our pebbles gave bloodlust mid, and devourer proceeded to get all of the runes, and gank us bot a few times. They just tower dove behind our tower, because EW would scout us with her Wolves. I was underleveled because of this, and I was letting my lane partner take the farm, so I never had gold to TP back to lane. I was criticised by my team for being underleveled, and I suggested that this was not really my fault, if Pebbles had a bit of rune control, or contested mid a bit better, things would have been different. The argument continued, but I decided to just play on, our top lane was doing well, and by 25minutes we looked like winning without a doubt. They had underleveled carries who couldn't really beat us in a team fight. The needling continued about my farm, and my levels. I was working on my frostwolf skull, and had just finished my icebrand.

I put the icebrand on the winged courier, and had it queued to deliver the items to me, sheild, then return to the base. I was a little past the river in mid, in a relatively safe zone, and I always have the courier hotkeyed to prevent it from dying. Because of our little argument, and the fact that logic offends him, Pebbles took control of the courier, and started trying to move it towards the enemies, who were farming the mid lane outside their base. I was trying to micro my hero to go underneath the courier, so that when I pressed deliver, I'd get the items, and the troll would be unsucessful, but I was not able to do so, and then my items were lost to the enemies. I'm sure it was pebbles, everyone else was using their hero, while pebbles was standing still like an idiot.

This made me really mad, that item was going to be useful in the next team fight, even though we'd already raxed. I'd had a bad day at work, and decided that this was not going to stand, and for the first time in a few thousand games, I deliberately griefed my team.

Now the best part was I was actually banned within a few hours of the game happening. I figure this is because I was reported by a fair few people for the same reason. However I also reported the pebbles for item destruction which was what was the cause of my griefing to begin with. Only problem is, I was banned straight away, then a week later I receive an email saying 'we didn't have time to look at your report, sorry! Here's your coins back'. For a start, how come the person that banned my for greifing didn't see my item being destroyed on the courier? Did you even watch the replay? And even if it was missed, how come their report was reviewed, and mine wasn't? If you can react to their report in the space of a few hours, you couldn't be overly backlogged with reports. My report went through at about the same time as theirs would have, and if you can reply to theirs in a few hours, how could a whole week pass by without you getting to mine? It's so ****ing retarded, the people I was with are the reason this game is no longer pleasant to play, yet you don't even review the reports properly.

If you're going to ban a player, you should review that players reports as a courtesy, at the same time. It's rare for a player to grief without at least provocation, so if you're going to have your nazi ****ing rules about how a game is played, you should at least ensure that person is at least having his side of the story heard.

PS: I've actually had a problem in the past with your GMs being retarded in the head, I got banned for making a mistake, without even receiving a warning, and by the time the appeal came through, I was already unbanned anyway. You're running this game to the ****, I've stopped buying avatars with my money for the last few months because of it, and I won't be buying gold again. Please l2manage.

Start of post: Clearly written, well thought out, "I'm not raging, this is deserved"
End of post: Cursing, raging, no longer well thought out, jumble of topics.

I believe there would be something in place where you get jumped to the front of the line if multiple people have reports against you. They would likely check if the 3-4 people that reported you are friends/play together frequently, and if they do not, they would approve the report. There may even be an automated system in place to cover these instances, I don't know.

Either way, even though your report was refunded, that doesn't mean they aren't going to look at your report. It is unfortunate that they didn't get to your report around the same time, maybe their priorities are set a little differently than we think. However, you should still be notified when your report is finally resolved.

I wrote the first half earlier today before work, last few paragraphs after a few drinks watching the football. Go figure. And they aren't going to look at it, they emailed me saying they didn't have time to, because they're too busy trying to find another way to slightly change an avatar to charge $10. This has happened to about 5 of my reports so far, only 1 has even been approved, so to speak.

So the GMs don't even read the forums? Nothing at all to contribute?

Okay, so since posting this thread, I just received an email saying 'we've reviewed your report, and found the player guilty, and he has been banned'. Whether my post here had something to do with it or not, thanks for effort. Appreciate it.

Your post had nothing to do with it. Don't give other people here any ideas! =)

The way tickets are prioritized and assigned is not publicly disclosed. I can say that it is not random. I am glad you are satisfied with the results.

Closing.
