View Full Version : [Answered] Refusal to Pause - Is it Griefing?

So recently I played a game and the team already decided by the 0 minute mark that they want to Concede at 15 because they thought the picks were bad. After numerous remakes were thrown up and voted down, an unsuccessful kick vote was called on a player who made a 'bad pick' and 'no vote the remake'.

A few players DCed from the game (server had an issue I'd suspect), one of which was the person who was voted to be kicked (for not remaking and thus became the general scapegoat for bad picks etc.). All the players Reconnected except the player who was going to be kicked earlier, and the team refused to pause for them to reconnect, letting the entire clock go down and them to terminate.

Would an action like this (refusing to pause to act as a kick) be considered griefing? I'm curious because there was enough time to reconnect if a single pause went through, so downvoting the pause ultimately led to a 'kick'.

Hopefully this can shed a bit of light to the situation as its very puzzling and 'seems' to be cut/dry. I would have e-mailed but this seems to be an answerable question that others may encounter.

Players may vote yes or no to any vote, for any reason. There is never a situation where down-voting pause is against the Rules of Conduct. Similarly, a player may un-pause at any time for any reason.

Exceptions:
-Voting down concede while simultaneously not participating in the match
-Voting to protect a friend from an AFK kick (in this case the AFK friend is punished, while the player who voted it down is not)
