View Full Version : Dream Heroes - In Game Advertisement/Interface

DREAM came out a couple of years ago, and it had great potential. A couple of heroes even made it into the game, however it has died out and I am not even sure half the community knows about it anymore. My suggestion is to add an in game interface that would allow everyone who logs in to HoN to see the website and vote for their favorite heroes.
I would really like to revive this program, and I hope you are all with me on this. After you close the message of the day, the HoN TV icon pops up, I suggest adding a DREAM Icon on the other side, which would open a menu that leads to the DREAM site. Why do people down vote this with no comment, it dont even make any sense. In what way would this hurt at all? Getting community created heroes the exposure they need. If you dont want to do it, then simply dont click it, no different then HoN TV.
I would actually like to see all the community events be interactive through the game interface. Things like voting for dogkaiser for the midwars, vote for your favourite alt avatar in hon madness, etc.
Things would become so much smoother and would really give depth to the community in the game, rather than always in the forums.

I wouldn't mind seeing an in-game Dream-HoN icon at the main menu. It would definitely introduce more people to the user created heroes; especially the ones who don't visit the forums. It would be nice to see user created heroes every month or two... I don't think i'd even be aware about dream-hon today if I wasn't already introduced to it way back then when well known.

IMO it is kinda absurd of S2 to first intoduce the Dream Program, then start releasing new heroes every 2 weeks and NOT incorporate or feature Dream anyway. So much wasted potential...

Sweet I made it into Tier 1.. Really hoping to get some S2 feedback here. I see you guys put an in game poll for silvers, this is borderline the same thing. Lets make it happen!!!

Lord Salforis was based of the dream hero Necromancer.
You also cannot tell if abilities/hero concepts of new heroes aren't inspired by any existing dream hero. Given the quantity of dream heroes in existence, the chances of randomly inventing a new hero that has many relations to an existing dream is high.
I mean Artesia ult is like one of my hero's abilities, as is Bramble's Ult. (Globally placed health regen totems, weird organic barricade.)
