1. Retention of newer players. Imagine being new, going into a game, and you have a pool of 15 against players who have a pool of 100+? Then the only way to get more even is to gradually earn the silver to buy the heroes or to buy the heroes for gold at a price that would be overwhelming to ask for players who just got into the game.

2. What if a player only heard of HoN after the Legacy period? Can't really throw that question at them.

I don't mind the current system, I'm a F2P and I've happily saved silver and spent gold on heroes (I have every hero except Blitz and Berzerker). But I would definitely consider having the Full Account option, even if only a seasonal/rare event thing, if it'd figure out to keep players in the game, which in turn could generate more income if they stick around and spend gold on EA, alt. avatars, couriers, stat resets, CAIs, etc.

1. They would get a lot more people paying real cash for access to all heroes, while still making extra money from people purchasing gold for alt avatars and such. I personally have no plans of putting any more real money into this game, unless this option is made available.

2. I didnt start playing this game untill november '11. So i didnt have such an option. I just know that i have to save 3000 silver coins to buy any alt avatar i want now, since i own most of the heroes, the Heroes i dont own, i dont wanna spend a months worth of silver coins to get. When i started in november, the most expensive hero was 650 silver. Now its all 850. EA heroes started at 350, now they are 500 gold. Its kinda stupid how i would have to spend $80 just to buy the remaining 8 heroes i dont own, not gunna happen.
