Hello,

Today I reported a player. The case was simple: in a 45 min game, someone goes afk at 20.
After 10 min of player being AFK, I start a vote to kick him. Someone refuses the vote. From this time to the end of the game, this same player will always refuse to kick the AFK player.
After a while I ask him why he refuses. He tells me that it is because the afk player is his friend.

So, I reported the player for AFK abuse. I checked the rules before doing so : http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?396388-What-is-Griefing-Demystifying-the-Rules-of-Conduct-and-Common-Reporting-Mistakes

Examples of AFK Abuse

[...]
Going AFK with the intention/knowledge of having a friend who refuses to vote kick you

Despite the player being afk for 20-30 mins, and his friend specifically saying that he won't kick him because he is his friend, I still got an unsuccessful ticket and lost my deposit.

In the end of the game, we lost due to being 4vs5, and the player didn't get any leave %.

I don't care for the 25 coins but I just want to know if I misunderstood this rule.

Sorry for bad english, not native langage.

Hi! You did not misunderstand the rule, if he was really AFK for such a long time, and he even admitted to being a friend of him, then PM a Senior GM and ask him/her to take a look at it.

A list of SGMs can be found here:

Also, your English was impeccable :)
