Fantasy HON
"New School Tactics" by The Great Luzarius
By applying concepts from fantasy football I've thought up a completely new way to play Heroes of Newerth. This guide is strongly recommended for new players who want to increase their PSR. This guide puts you in control of every public HON match you play ensuring your victory.
"A Good Manager"

The key to winning a hon match lies in your player management skills.
Host game
1) Create a game on "easy mode" since you want to get straight to the PVP and less PVE.
Match Title
2) It is extremely important to put "5v5 Apem (ASS) Noobs" in the title of your match. This way when people join they will ask "what does ass stand for?", when they ask this make sure you put these people on the opposing team since they asked such a dumb question.
PSR stacking
3) Look for people with low psrs who have high exp gains and put them on your team. Put people with high psr and low exp gain on the opposing team.
Communication
4) I'll talk to the people I think are good and make them check in. As long as they can type "hi" it means they are not a complete retard. When someone says "hi" it's an indication that they are willing to communicate and work as a team. If they don't respond at all, that will be your enemy. Stick them on the other team since you know they won't communicate.
No language gap
5) Ensure you don't have a language gap. If someone responds "pin nong backlay baboy" then you know you have a language gap. Avoid language gaps for they decrease your chances of winning since you can't communicate!
Note: People with extremely high assists are always my favorite to have on a team. You know that they are team players!
Note: People who have a lot more kills than deaths are the guys you tell to go middle!
"Hero Selection Screen"
30% of the game

The second most important part of HON is the combo of classes players pick.
Tanks Tanks Tanks
1) A good host/leader/manager will always tank. Most players are extremely selfish and they simply want to make kills. By swallowing your pride and being a good tank you can ensure these other players make the kills they want. Good tanking is the key to winning this game.
Overpowered Classes First
2) I will spam the names of overpowered classes in hopes that my team will pick one of them. By presenting them with a choice it's more likely they will pick what you suggest. So instead of saying "you pick this class", just say "hey are u good at any one of these classes?" Make sure this is copy & pasted and ready to spam in team chat. I've found a 70% success rate with this method.
Balance
3) I strive for 2 tanks and 3 ranged killers. Two tanks initiate while the other 3 kill.
NOTE: There is a popular misconception that this game is "balanced" and that certain classes counter each other, SO USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE!!!. Picking the overpowered classes first instead of playing what you want you'll will guarantee your victory. Remember by picking the overpowered classes your enemy is forced to try and pick a "balanced" class to fight against you thus you maintaining your advantage. Overpowered classes are better than balanced classes!

Once the game starts I remind everyone of the simplest strategy of the game.
"5 People get together, ok now destroy the tower, gank him!!!! Ok let's go shop!"
I'll shout that over VOIP about 1000 times for the next 35 minutes.
"Actual Combat"

"Use your ult". For 20-35 minutes I will shout that over & over again. That sums up HON combat.
From level 1-6 buy marcher boots, that's it. Don't waste your money on totems, potions, wards or any stupid crap like that. That stuff is for normal mode. Easy mode = buy marchers boots and just hold out until level 6. Once you get into a 5 man group you just go around wrecking EVERYTHING.
OH and never last hit or deny. It's a total waste of time. Probably one of the dumbest concepts in the history of gaming. So instead of insulting yourself learning a flawed mechanic, just don't do it. Have the middle guy come and gank the bottom and top and u'll get any gold the enemy last hitted back in your pocket! lol.
When you come back to shop push your lanes back and deny any towers that are left. By being a horrible laner you will totally throw your enemy off guard since most players are laning noobs.
Results
The undeniable truth of my tactics is that they work. My score has gone from 1203 to 1585.
I'm very new to HON and my tactics are so new and so radical that they work. I still have no idea how to really play this game but my PSR is better than most veteran dota players.
