How can this not be considered griefing of some sort.

I am tired of games where i join and people talk about how high/drunk/smash/wasted they are and then feed the whole game or just play really poorly. I want to have fun in the game not listen to some drunk moron spam the mic and chat with "lol i am so high" while 0-10 or something

just had 2 games where this happened and it sucks.. If you play in a state you know you are hindered how is that not griefing the 4 other people who spend their time just trying to play and have fun ?

You should make it a rule , Play drunk and high is fine they cant prove that but the second you say it in chat and then play poorly it should become an offense because no one can play well while intoxicated

I played drunk* a few times, I don't believe I lost a single game and am inclined to say that I played better when drunk. When I told my team I was drunk they told me they couldn't tell the difference.
Most people use this excuse for when they are actually really bad at the game but want to use some sort of external excuse to explain their poor performance, much like people saying they are feeding intentionally when they are just really bad.
I remember playing with some guys who were clearly very out of it judging by their tone of voice and constant giggling. They manned up like mofos and steamrolled the game.

*I don't mean the point of drunk where I'm spewing, in which case I'm sure the vomit on my keyboard will hinder my play and I doubt people can handle the motion of HoN when they are at this level of drunk.

The same rule could be applied if the player is sleepy, depressed, hungry, etc. It's true you have to try to play your best, but it's impossible to ask the players to fulfill some random conditions just because they could play poorly, it's a game, remember that.

Only actions are punishable, not declarations. A person who claims to be feeding, claims to be AFK, claims to not want to win, claims to be drunk, etc. is not griefing unless the actions support said claims. Being drunk, or pretending to be drunk, is not against the rules. However, if being in such a state causes somebody to grief in tangible ways, then they should be reported for those actions.
