Journey to the Hellbourne--a Monkey King Story

In a land far, far away there lived a monk named Vindicator. He was an odd monk, for he had a Mohawk. Vindicator had a very powerful magical book (called “the Great Book”) that allowed him to scream gibberish and silence the entire land of Newerth. One day, he let his best friend, King Jeraziah, borrow the magical book. However, one week later, Vindicator is unable to locate the King.

“I believe our King has been kidnapped by the Hellbourne and has been held captive! We must find him and retrieve the Great Book.”
And thus, on that very day, the Legion assembled a team to retrieve the Great Book, and King Jeraziah—if he’s still alive.

“Our journey begins... Magical staff? Check. Magical cloud? Check. Fat pig man? Fat pig man where are you?”
Our first volunteer was the great Monkey King. He thought the whole idea of journeying across the land of the Legion and deep into the Hellbourne was reckless. But at the same time, he thought about how it reminded him of when he used to accompany the fat pig man and his other friends on their crazy adventures and made him reminisce those fun times. Of course, the fat pig man was not with them, so he had to settle with other companions.

The second volunteer was the old sage, Bubbles. “When I was your age, dirt were newer.” Of course, no one understood what he was rambling about and put him on mute. Remember folks, “the years teach much, but the days never do.”

The third member was Magebane. Monkey King thought he resembled Sandy because he was bald and also wielded the same weapon. Although Magebane did not sign up initially, the crafty Monkey King signed up for him and thus Magebane had no choice but to go with them on this crazy mission.

The fourth and final member of the group was Sir Witch Slayer. For he was a former wanderer of the lands, he knew the best way of navigating the depths of the plagued lands.

And thus, we have our five man all-star team. Leading the pack, we had the Monkey King, ever so diligent and on the lookout. We had the guide, Witch Slayer, giving them the directions. There was Magebane, who served as a guardian for our fragile monk, Vindicator. Vindicator was rendered completely helpless, for without his Great Book, he was unable to spam gibberish onto the battlefield. Lastly, we had the old sage, giving advice to the member of the group and mumbling random words of wisdom, but no one paid attention to him.

There was a phantom sixth member, for he had also applied to accompany Vindicator's team on their journey to retrieve the Great Book. However, it was voted unanimously that he should stay put because he was useless to the team. “Scout you’re awful son”—claimed Sir Witch Slayer, for he had babysat Scout into failure far too many times. Vindicator told Scout that his skills were not needed for this mission, for he was the most useless person on the Legion army, OF ALL TIME. Scout, filled with rage, decided to throw the game, err mission, by sending rumors to the ranks of the Hellbourne.

“Yo Hellbourne, rumors say that the Legion team is heading your way. I heard that Vindicator, is carrying a Doombringer. However he can’t auto attack or do anything because he lost his book. Make sure you guys gank him.”—Signed Anonymous.

When Maliken read the anonymous letter, he set a bounty on Vindicator’s head. “Get me that Doombringer!”

Our heroes first traveled out of the Legion base and headed west. They suddenly encountered Glacius, whom rumors have said he defected to the Hellbourne.

“Glacius didn’t defect to the Hellbourne, what are you guys talking about?” Asked Vindicator, the ever so trusting monk. “Let’s welcome his presence and get free mana regen!”

But not even after he got to finish his sentence, Glacius suddenly hit the team with a tundra blast and twenty Hellbourne minions came out of the trees.

“You bloody fools! You think I want to become part of your pathetic team? Every time I am fighting alongside of the Legion team, Scout takes all the glory while I get murdered every time! I’m sick of it! Maliken promised that I would be able to take on a carry role if I join their ranks. Prepare to die!”

Vindicator was shocked. However, the rest of the team were prepared. Monkey King made short work of the minions using his heavenly vaults. Glacius suddenly found himself overwhelmed. At the last resort, he froze himself in a desperate attempt to save himself and hailed Mary. The glacial downpour smashed our heroes, but not before our trusty turtle silenced the evil ice man and put him out of his misery.

“Sometimes, I can’t tell my head from my tail. Vindicator, make sure you do not trust any more stragglers,” said Bubbles, the ever wise sage.

Our heroes marched on, and when they were about to cross the river, they encountered an odd stranger. The stranger was speaking to himself and laughing at his own jokes. They thought he resembled a psycho, perhaps because of his mask. Suddenly, the lunatic turned around, and razor sharp claws popped out of his hands. The crazed lunatic lunged at Witch Slayer, and they suddenly found themselves in a dire situation.

“Get this Madman off of me!” shouted Sir Witch Slayer, disarmed because he was on the ground and could not reach for his musket. The crew tried to remove the Madman from their guide before he was torn to shreds. Unfortunately, by the time they were able to take out Madman, Witch Slayer had already been slain. “We will avenge your death, dear friend.”

Now they were without a guide, the crew’s moral was in trouble. They camped out near the woods, on the Legion side of the river in order to get a night’s sleep. Little to their knowing, the Hellbourne were waiting for this opportunity to strike. The curvy, busty demon known as Succubus slightly waited for one all of our heroes to go to sleep. Magebane, who awoke out of a bad dream, went to the river to refill his Bottle of Tears. He was suddenly Mesmerized by the scantily clad Succubus, for he has not seen such sexyness on the Legion team, ever. While he was put in a Mesmerized State, the Succubus infiltrated the camp, and had smitten the sage Bubbles while breaking the heart of the Monkey King.

Suddenly, Vindicator, the prey, was all alone. “Stay back! Foul demon! I will not give into your temptation!”

“Mmmm you’re mine now!” The Succubus put Vindicator on her hold, draining him of his life and energy. Magebane suddenly woke from his Mesmerized state, and rushed back to camp. He saw the monk in trouble and quickly used his Mana Rift to break the hold. Luckily for him, the Succubus had spent all of her energy on taking out the team and instantly blew up.

By the time it was morning, everyone was back to normal, except for Vindicator, who was still traumatized from seeing a demon exploding before him. Nevertheless, they tried yet again to cross the river. They had, however, saw the Horseman General Warbeast attempting to take out Kongor. Our heroes chased the Horseman out of Kongor’s lair and decided to kill the Beast themselves.

“Say, why are we killing Kongor again?” asked Monkey King, for he himself was an ape as well. “Jeez, I don’t know, but we could use an extra life now that we’re only a four man team” answered Magebane. After killing Kongor, Monkey King grabbed the bananas while Magebane took the Token of Life.

Our heroes pushed into the deepest and most dangerous area of the Hellbourne base. After taking out both outer towers of the Hellbourne, Maliken came to defend the Hellbourne base, alongside his General Warbeast. The relentless battle between our heroes and their enemies came at a standstill outside of the Hellbourne base.

“Guys, we need a new plan. It’s almost impossible for us to push into their base because for some reason, we can’t see uphill. It doesn’t make any sense, but I don’t want to walk into their base and get ulted in the face.” Monkey King was right, they needed reinforcements. Luckily for them, after camping outside of the Hellbourne base for some time, the colossal Behemoth came to aid our allies.

“Rrurrruhrrhh,” grunted Behemoth. Only Monkey King understood what he meant. After telling the rest of the team their strategy, they all got ready for their assault. Behemoth used his Portal Key to teleport into the Hellbourne base and slammed the ground with utmost force, catching the Hellbourne off guard. With such powerful initiation, the team quickly followed up and made swift work of Warbeast. Maliken retreated into the depths of the Hellbourne base.

Things were looking up as our heroes searched throughout the Hellbourne base for the Great Book. Maliken had recovered from his injuries and came back with full force. What was odd was that he came in with a Protective Charm that prevented any spells from affecting him. Maliken suddenly transformed into a great demon and dealt heavy damage to the entire team. Suddenly, Jeraziah revealed himself and called on Sol’s Blessing. What was odd was that Sol’s power did not grant cosmic powers to the Legion team, but instead made Maliken even stronger.

“What is the meaning of this? King Jeraziah, what happened to you?” –Vindicator.

“Maliken showed me the way, for now I am a servant of the fallen King. I am Dark Jeraziah!” – Dark Jeraziah.

Jeraziah and Maliken’s combined powers were too strong. Magebane and Monkey King could not take them on. Behemoth had exhausted his powers and was waiting for his Shockwave to get off cooldown. Bubble’s all around magical powers were ineffective against the protective charm. As for Vindicator, he was snooping around, trying to find the Great Book.

Things looked bad for our heroes, when unexpectedly, both Maliken and Jeraziah were silenced. The ever so useless Scout showed up on the battlefield, and chopped away at the enemy.

“What’s going on? Why is this Scout doing so much damage?” –Maliken

“Well of course, he’s been AFK farming all day, what’d you expect. We were doing all the work and he just comes out to steal all our glory, as usual” –claimed Magebane.

Scout was going one on one with Maliken while the others took on Jeraziah. Scout was one hit away from the finishing blow on Maliken when he suddenly taunted him. With that, Maliken was able to land a critical hit on Scout and Scout was defeated.

“OMG NOOB”-screamed Magebane.

Meanwhile, Vindicator finally found his Great Book. It was stashed away in the Hellbourne Meatball. Vindicator quickly found the spell that freed Jeraziah from Maliken’s control. The tides turned and Maliken was surrounded by our heroes. In the end, he fled the battlefield using his sword throw and promised to return for vengeance.

The End.
