1. Not harassing as a ranged while laning with a melee partner so that you can get the last hits instead of him

Scenario: You are a ranged carry with good last hitting abilities, you are laning with a melee who is less item dependent than you and has high base damage and a hatchet. Your harass forces the enemy to stay back, but as a result your partner gets all the last hits and doesn't give them to you. So you say "well, I can outlast hit the opponent without harass anyway due to my good attack animation and farming spells/base damage, this way I'll get the farm instead of my melee partner. In fact, when he tries to last hit, the enemy will now direct their attention to harassing him, giving me an even better time farming."

Why it is not griefing: You are serving the best interest of your team because you, the carry, are getting farmed.

Why it is griefing: You aren't trying your hardest. You're pressing h and passively waiting for last hits instead of harassing. You don't keep the enemies hp low which means less chance of kills. The enemy is getting more farm

2. Dragging the game on when you can definitely end the game, but you want to push your GPM records.
Scenario: You've got 550 GPM at the 30 min mark. You're fed and can definitely end it. But you know you've never been this fed so early and can get to 700 GPM if you farm tll 40 mins. You want to break your record. Or-You've got a ton of kills/the situation lets you get mass kills(you're overleveled with alot of burst damage etc.) so you don't want to end it.

I urge you to take a look at this thread. (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?396388-What-is-Griefing-Demystifying-the-Rules-of-Conduct-and-Common-Reporting-Mistakes)

IMO if a hero like magmus buys loggers and goes with sil or valk, you have every right as that carry to not care about magmus. He´s trying to ruin the game for you, yes I know he might think of himself as a carry, but I dont. I dont know what the ruling would be from a GM though.

And the second one I highly doubt it. If you still win the game, whats the problem anyway?

Also about the "Why it is griefing: You aren't trying your hardest."........... Griefing is when you purposely ruin the game for others, not when you´re just playing bad, but still trying to win. Also, how do you determine when some1 isnt trying their hardest?

1. There is no such thing as failing to participate in a game according to Rap. Since he is actually participating and not using spells to get you killed, then I'd say not likely.

2. If the carry is farmed well, that means you have a certain percent chance to win the game. Knowing WHEN to end the game is also a skill, since you may be walking into a line up of heavy initiators.

Wants to rap for poor game play? How dumb you would even suggest such a thing. Almost anyone could be reported at some time or another as many situtaitons are going to require an opinion. If someone is doing their best even if it sucks that is no cause to rap them. OP can not be serious. Must be a complaint thread disguised as a question.

Neither of these things are considered griefing, nor are they considered "thin calls".

Closing.
