Hi!

I'm here to ask what could be the problem, when i'm trying to do some custom sounds. First of all: I made my custom pickingsounds pack ages ago, it worked back then. When i changed XP -> W7 I couldn't do custom soudns anymore, even though they were made correctly. HoN founds the sounds yeah, but it's not able to play them, even if they are .ogg-files. My previously sounds works normally but new ones don't. Could the problem be in Audacity? Doubt it, i tried new beta and older versions and both was deadend. Any ideas?

I got the same problem, HoN won't play custom sounds. Even if I try replacing the sounds with original sounds from other heroes. F.ex I have tried to put Devourers ulti soundtrack on Swiftblades ulti. But what happend is I get no sound at all at Swiftblades ulti. So it won't work with custom sounds nor original soundfiles..

Haha, i see here hasn't been any progress :D Well, if someone who knows little bit better about this situation (for example someone from S2) could light situation? I like update my mod but can't do that because game won't still replay the sound (i've been trying different types like mono/stereo, different frequency and so on). I would understand if it couldn't play older sounds too but those works just fine. And i'm still in "Wtf?"-situation.

No hard feelings

So I'm not sure if this will help you but what program are you using to zip your files with? I was using 7zip 9.20 to zip my files, and they wouldn't play back in HoN when I renamed the archive to resourcesWhatever.s2z. I rolled back to 7zip 4.65 and now my sound mods are working.

I'm also using Audacity 2.0.0 to generate ogg files if you think that might be the problem as well.

Actually I have both new Audacitys: Beta (1.3) and older stable one (1.2). Both have same effect... by that i mean it doesn't matter which one you use because HoN won't play the sounds. But that is good idea, i could go even further like 1.1 or even 1.0. Even though i doubt it'll do anything but we'll see.

Did you try zipping with a different program? I'm pretty sure it was the fact I downgraded to 7zip 4.65 which fixed the issue for me.
