Kicked before game even starts, lose MMR?

I was kicked in this game: match ID 84823268. Username Phiazko (hero bubbles,

The game had literally just begun, and the opposing team started a vote kick on their purple citing he was abusing the Canadian's on their team.

The vote kick was successful (I was reluctant to kick but finally pressed the green thumb due to pressure from my own team).

Within seconds a vote kick had started on me, I had done absolutely nothing wrong, nor had I even said anything.

How is it fair for me to lose MMR in a game I never had a chance to feature in? It was obvious I was kicked to even the teams and make it 4v4. The reason for being kicked suggests this game should be nullified.

I took advice from the report a player section of the forums in that S2 takes no action on vote kick abuse. Since you take no action on vote kick abuse, suggesting a informal approach to the in feature - how is it that players are formally punished?

I feel extremely let down by the system is all and think I deserve my MMR back. Especially considering (to my knowledge of the system) their purple who was genuinely abusing other players gains MMR from the match? I'm not after a gain in MMR, I simply think I deserve my MMR back that I lost.

How many times can you say this has happened to you in your time playing HoN though? I'm 1k games deep and this has never happened to me nor have I ever seen it happen, I don't think it's enough of a problem to warrant a solution. It sucks that it happened to you but it's not really an exploit nor is it something that is likely to be exploited.

Not to sound harsh but if you had saved that guy from being kicked you probably wouldn't have faced the same fate. If he was giving them abuse they should have RAP'd him and you should have encouraged that, but you kind of took the easy option.

i would really like to know exactly what is the punishment for a kick

its kinda your fault,
Your get from the community what you give to it.
You had no prove that the other player was doing anything wrong, and kicked him,
he probably also felt that was unfair.
You didn't stop it, and so noone did for you.

Often the problem is, the opposing team will say yes if you get kickvoted, for "easy win". I don't do it, and so i hope to get it back, worked many times.
