Aizen: manga may be continuing (I am not reading manga), but anime already ended with no sight about continuation, so maybe new series (like InuYasha), or last arc in last movie will be coming.

Finally, what a garbage series. It was never even close to being great except maybe during the first 3 episodes. Bleach represents everything you could find wrong with an anime series: shallow characters, garbage writing full of plot holes and inconsistencies, overextending plot arcs riddled with needless filler, and just about every terrible cliche you can imagine finding in anime. There's no wit or talent to Bleach at all and the only saving grace you can convince me of is that it has a nice aesthetic, which is debatable and definitely not unique.

Maybe it's a maturity gap since I used to religiously watch Dragon Ball Z and now trying to rewatch it is crushingly difficult. If you like it because it's a junky guilty pleasure then fine, but don't call it great anime. For instance, I'll really like Blue Gender, but I can easily admit that it's ****ing terrible in a lot of ways.

I'll bet it got a better ending than Mahou Sensei Negima. The last three chapters of that completely ruined an otherwise-excellent manga.

* note: don't watch anime, I read ze manga. Bleach is fun for the crazy powerup arc/battle finishers that are arted.

All this recent talk of the ending is making me want to watch it. I left off around ep 290 but the site I used to download and watch from doesn't work anymore :(. Does anyone have any? Would be nice if it has One Piece and Naruto Shippuden as I need to catch up on that as well. Edit: One without daily limits perhaps

I have yet to see an official statement that Bleach was written as a parody so that's a pretty lame coverup. It actually is trying to be serious and creative.

Episodes 0-60'ish were just fantastic with character design, plot and feel to it. After that it was just a slow decay into filth. Animation was quite good on 366 though.

It should've ended after the Aizen Arc. They dragged it on for way to long.

Also, just because Bleach had a lot of viewers all over the world that doesn't mean that it was good.


Note: I watched Bleach until the end. Mostly because I didn't want to stop halfway.

I agree with that list for the most part, till I saw Ao no exorcist in there.
That show was promising for like 4 episodes,then it became a stupid cluster**** of mediocre action and comedy. The show went from a 9/10 for the first few eps to a 3/10 or *whydidIevenbothertowatchthisshittilltheend*.

I have read abit of One Piece (Vol 1-26 i think) and to be honest i find that the 'unique' art style doesn't appeal to me; it's somewhat childish. Espicially the evil guys like that clown (Buggy?) the Swan guy with love hearts, plus some creatures etc. Although i do like Zolo and that reindeer thing.

I dont care if your a fan of One Piece. Word of advice, try not making this into a One Piece vs Bleach + Other thread.

So your problem isn't really with the art style but with absurd character designs? Well then One Piece is definitely not for you. It knows full well how outlandish it is and it revels in it's own absurdity, of which I approve.
