View Full Version : Pyromancer stun cooldown

This is an attempt at turning a "Pyromancer is OP"-thread into something useful; After lots of analyzing I came to the conclusion that it's not his ult almost one-shotting casters in the lower teen-levels, but the stun having too short of a CD earlygame for the damage it does (stun+damage+further hits from enemy heroes).
Obviously not a pressing problem but I personally wouldn't wanna lane against a pyro.
I'm proposing a longer cooldown that scales down.
Could go on beyond that but my point is made, any thoughts on this?

To be honest man the Pyromancer is fine the way he is. It's just Lina from DOTA. It's a hero with 1 chance to do an insane burst (if it hits both main spells and then does the ult). Other than that, it's a squishy hero that really isn't too hard to deal with. I can think of a ton of heroes that flat out destroy Pyromancer. Pyro is a hero that's built to own early-mid game.
Late game, when you're dealing with 3k HP heroes and hearts... you're not going to be one shotting anymore. In fact you often have to pick up CC items and focus on doing that as well as being a battle mage (normal high speed attacks).

I don't think its any shorter than hammerstorm stun or pestilence.

Lina's stun hasn't been changed in forever. It's hard to aim, and easy to dodge, so it's safe to say it's balanced.
