There is a little image at the middle, top of the screen that shows what time of day it is. Is this relevant to anything? Maybe vision distance, but is it really relevant like either side or creep types getting a bonus/negative?

Dont know if there is but that would be a pretty awesome mechanic to eventually put into play

Right now the only difference between night and day is your line of sight. I'm sure other heroes/abilities will use it as a mechanic later on down the road (Night Stalker anyone?)

LOS at the moment, but as Fingers said, its almost certainly that a hero will use of it.. like Night Stalker, thus when its night, he gets Attack and Move Speed significantly increase, and also some sinergy with other skills ( Silences, etc )
do everyone HAVE to say "less sight"
it was like said in the first post, it is just annoying to hear it over and over again

There were also a lot of unmentioned mechanic with the day/night system, like lycan had, not sure of the rest though.
-Less sight at night
-Neutral creeps sleep at night
-Nightstalker gains movement and attack speed during night, added effects to his skills, and full vision during night
-Some heroes have more or less regen at night*
*the only one i can remember is lycan, who had 0-.15 regen during day but 2 at night.
nomad has an ability that works differently depending on the time of day.

well, people are saying it like it's nothing. It gets cut in half... it's a huge deal really.
Also I hope NS doesn't come back. Shitty hero in day, OP hero at night... when he hits 16 it's like almost perma-night. Yeah, fun stuff.
