What it comes down to is Hon requires good communication to have a good team. Having a good team makes a fun game, even if you lose. People want to play games they know they will be able to communicate with their teammates.

There are however, mixed language servers. This is a problem, a real problem, not just random bigotry or rage, although there are those that use that to express it. This is something imho S2 should address and it would make the game more fun for all parties.

I suggested long ago Language Flagging, I feel it would work and it would help the situation.

Have an option to flag yourself as speaking/reading various languages.
Allow games to filter based on a set of languages.
This will be especially useful with the auto match making.

This is not a perfect solution, but it is a solid start and could evolve into a sound solution.

Unfortunately not everyone has the same geographical advantages. If you grow up in a number of parts of Canada / US the only language you will learn as a child is English. There is a massive landmass of basically one language. We don't have multiple countries with multiple languages withing a 3 hour flight. For monolingual people, learning a second language as an adult can be extremely difficult.

This is not about English. This is nothing to do with discrimination. No-one is locking anyone out of any modes.

This has to do with ensuring you are paired with a team that you can verbally communicate with, regardless of the language. Perhaps I queue on the Eu server and i want a team that speaks German.

Yes, wait times will increase if you chose to set your flags, but that is a choice.

Cant we just make the matchmakingsystem better, and no rage will ensue ever because of evenness?

That would be a separate topic, please try to keep this thread on point regarding the language issue.

yes this, it could be just like any of the other settings, an extra box where you thumbs up/down languages you do or don't know. some people could troll it and pick languages they don't understand of course, but the vast majority of players would want to play with people they can understand. you could be allowed to play against other languages still, (unless this somehow makes it harder/takes longer to implement). it would be just like any other filter in matchmaking
