HoN Community:

This is the official HoN League Test Game Thread.

Vouchers will be coming here when they post games (or myself) to keep you updated on the Test games available.

For those of you unfamiliar with our DotA League and how the system works I'll break it down for you.

HoN League will provide Team Tournaments and Team Ladders. Additionally, HoN League will have an "In-Game" Individual Ladder League system which will arrange teams using a League Skill Rating. We are working closely with the League/Tournament system staff to produce this before the year's end (We Hope).

HoN League is for the top competitive players in Heroes of Newerth. There are multiple ways of becoming vouched/Invited into HoN League.

1) You can sign up for a test game HERE (http://honleague.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7)

2) If your team places top 4 in HoN League tournaments (http://honleague.com/competitions.php) you will be invited to the League.

3) You could be invited to HoN League by a HoN League Voucher (http://honleague.com/showgroups.php) who finds you of HoN League quality.

What exactly constitutes HoN League quality, out of curiosity? Let's just use the old CAL system as a guide.

O - IM - M - P - I

Where on the scale should a HoN League player fall?

M or above.

By has this "thing" gotten off the ground, you mean "has S2 Games implemented the Tournament and League system into the game yet" no.

The good news of course being they're working on it. When it is ready, we're going to have a decent sized player base.

Just out of curiosity, what are the unabbreviated versions of that 5 letter rating system and description?

Sorry for your false sense of worth but, I have seen some very bad players get into HoN League. Its a joke

Well, being that I was the CAL-DOTA admin for over a year I think I can answer that one ! :)

DotA CAL-Invite (I)
DotA CAL-Main (M)
DotA CAL-Intermediate (IM)
DotA CAL-Open (O)

and Tower dive, ANYONE vouched in HoN League is at least CAL IM Quality and over 70% CAL-M or higher.

Of course, talent will continue to rise as more of the Pro-Dota community comes over.

I expect to see more after S2 Games announces the large tournament coming.

The only one with a false sense of worth is you. Every single one of the vouchers is more reputable than you. If they judge someone to be competent, their opinion means a world more than yours. Almost all (good) competitive players are in HoN league - if hon league is a joke, then they are stupid for thinking its a worthwhile league.

P stands for Premier, but as far as I know, that was only a league in CAL for CS 1.6 (because it's the only game that had such a huge number of top caliber teams). Krangry/Hunter covered the rest.

No more flames, guys. Get back on topic. Due to the constructive nature of your posts, I didn't have to delete them. Just don't put in more wood to feed the flames.
