Change to the Daemonic Breastplate recipe!

So, right now the Daemonic Breastplate recipe is as follows:

Warpcleft (2100) + Sol's Bulwark (2000) + Ringmail (550) + Recipe (900)

Ringmail + Recipe = 1450 gold right?

And then we have this http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/images/items/Item_Platemail.jpg very underused item (Platemail) that costs 1400 and is only used in 1 recipe (Frostfield Plate).

So why not replace the Ringmail and the Recipe in the Daemonic Breastplate recipe for a Platemail? Yeah it's 50 gold cheaper in total but the buildup becomes harder to compensate.

Pros:
+Adds another use for an underused item (Platemail).
+Adds more depth to the game (if an enemy gets a Platemail you don't know if he's going for a Daemonic or a Frostfield).
+Adds even more depth to the game (you can disassemble it since it requires no recipe and use components to get a Charged Hammer and a Frostfield Plate).

Cons:
-Loses 4 armor after being completed (component bonuses don't match up) if you used Sol's Bulwark for the +armor aura (otherwise adds up perfectly).

Great suggestion, it'd be good to see Platemail getting some use again, and back in the Breastplate recipe no less (also 3 Ringmail in the recipe is a bit overkill). Add a poll for profit.

They added Sol's for easier build-up, Platemail was only swapped to Ringmail to keep the recipe cost the same.

:Platemail: needs more than 1 Recipe, and :Ringmail: shouldn't be appearing 3 times in a single item as above poster said. It makes the build up for :DaemonicBreastplate more optional, atm everyone probably buys :Warpcleft: before :Ringmail: but your idea would let someone like :legi: build :Platemail: first which is more beneficial to him.

I misread the point about the Con's, I suppose yes you would have 4 less armor than the components with :SolsBulwark: armor buff aura. But then the trade is that you get the -5 armor on your opponents, having said that, isn't the armor debuff aura used more than the armor buff aura anyway?

I don't like it because you have to keep the whole 1400 bunch of gold on your hand, which makes it a little bit harder to farm

I find that by the time I'm finishing the Breast Plate... I have a lot of gold. Also I seem to rarely use that rogue ringmail as it stays in my bank.
If you want to see your issue applied to another item; Frost Field Plate; 2700g item. 1400g item + cheap recipe. Enjoy.

I like this idea. Platemail is very underused and this brings some variety to the items uses.
