Hammerstorm

"Mighty and stoic, this famed warrior left behind the ruins of his home for a place in King Maliken's first Legion. From boyhood on, he has known nothing but battle, and his silent determination and deadly strength have earned him the epithet "Hammerstorm." Every blow of his hammer resounds like a death knell across the battlefield."

Intro
Hammerstorm is one of the most useful but underrated hero's possible. Not only is he insanely useful early game with his targeted AOE stun, but late game, if harnessed properly, will devastate entire teams. Utelizing a huge ass hammer, he is willing to beat people mercilessly. He can solo, but this guide will not feature a soloing strategy, but will focus mainly on laning with a partner who can help you unleash your true potential.

I. Skills:

Hammer Throw

Type: Magic
Range: 600
Radius: 300
Cast Time: 0.8 Seconds
Mana Cost: 140
Cooldown: 14.0 Seconds
Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
Deals 100 / 175 / 250 / 325 Magic damage and stuns target for 2 seconds.

This IS always the level one spell, this is what makes Hammerstorm, well, Hammerstorm. This uncanny ability to toss a hammer at your enemy and stun them in a 600 AOE (Diameter, not radius), essentially gives the spell an EFFECTIVE range of 900, which is always nice for a nuke. This spell alone will allow you to smooze on in with your lane partner and just wreck your opponents with the proper combo and timing.

Mighty Swing

On Attack
Applies 12.5 / 25.5 / 37.5 / 50% splash damage in a radius of 175.

While this spell seems attractive at first, it is best saved for mid to late game, or just after the laning phase in general. By attaining this skill early on, you will push your lane harder, as little bonus as it is, it will still push the lane fairly decently even if you just last hit.

Galvanize

Radius: 500
Cast Time: 0.8 Seconds
Mana Cost: 25
Cooldown: 36.0 / 30.0 / 24.0 / 18.0 Seconds
Required Level: 1 / 3 / 5 / 7
Applies Galvanize to targets in radius for 6 seconds.
3 / 5 / 7 / 10 Armor
14% Movement Speed

Another attractive spell early on. Casting this spell not only pushes your lane harder, it makes it harder to recover from a big push. Once again, its best to save this spell for after the laning phase when you want to push.

Brute Strength

Type: Magic
Cast Time: 1.0 Seconds
Mana Cost: 100 / 150 / 200
Cooldown: 80.0 Seconds
Required Level: 6 / 11 / 16
Applies Brute Strength to self for 25 seconds.
100 / 125 / 150% Base Damage

Hammerstorms ultimate, it is quite amazing with the proper build. It will let you take towers down no problem, ravage enemy teams without a batting of an eyelash. Brute Strength is possibly one of the best skills with the correct item build.

II.Skill Build

(This build is made to lane with a partner, for soloing resort to another skill build)

2.Stats
3.Hammer Throw

10.Mighty Swing/Galvanize
11.Brute Strength
12.Mighty Swing/Galvanize

14.Mighty Swing/Galvanize
15.Mighty Swing/Galvanize
16.Brute Strength
17.Mighty Swing/Galvanize
18-25. Stats

The reason I included stats was to give Hammerstorm more survivability and mana pool early on. Otherwise you can only really afford one stun early game, and with stats, you'll have the mana pool for multiple stuns. This also prevents you from pushing your lane forward with mighty swing/activating Galvanize. As for how to get those two, its really up to you and the situation in your game. If you have someone like tempest on your team, I recommend mighty swing so you can hit a lot of your enemy hero's at the same time. If theres alot of dps on the opposing team, mighty swing can mean life or death in a situation.
