used to provide support your team needs to keep pushing, as well as not die/get interrupted when using ultimate. Portal Key is used to be able to get into perfect positioning when needed, either to apply your stun on demand, or to instantly jump into a position to protect your allies with your ultimate.

very high mobility with a lot of utility and can put out a lot of DPS, but much less direct survivability. Used when you're more focused on ganking and survivability is less important because you're follow up and/or your team has the advantage in initiation. Portal key is again used here for perfect positioning on ulti, as well as applying your Stun/Sheepstick/Frostfield/Tablet on a desired target on demand when needed.

you stack survivability pickups so you can stay in the middle of a fight, soak up damage and ulti when needed, throw in a mock to help you stay alive via your aura.

Hellflower+Charged+Elder puts out a ton of DPS, while everything is helping you lifesteal back because of your aura.
In general, don't carry with her unless you know what you're doing. She's best be played as a support because she does well even without much farm. If you have to ask how to carry with her, then you don't know what you're doing, and should not be carrying with her. :p

I usually go:

Power Supply -> Bracer -> Striders -> Shrunken

6secs of uninterrupted ult is gg :P But then, i'm only 16xx, mby u need more supporting items as your enemies get smarter
