Alright guys so i decided to just throw all my of my sound mods into one thread. I didn't want to flood the Applications and Mod forum with all my mods, and have an easier location for people to find them all.

I was thinking about that. But there is a lot of variables.

Some people might not like ALL the sound mods ans be annoyed having ones they don't want.

Maybe after another mod or two I'll make a side link to have a All-in-One file ;)

a) I dont gain the extra points from downloads when all in one file

b)id have to keep unloading and uploading the same AIO file whenever i add a file.. and people would have to keep downloading that big file whever i had a new mod (which is pretty often currently)

But just for people like you ill make a link to a AIO file at the bottom of the first post.

Don't know if anyone noticed yet, but if you DL the all in one package there's a "s" missing at the "resources" part of the file, to make the sounds work you will have to rename the "resource5000.s2z" to "resources5000.s2z".

I love your sound mods, I hope you can consider this request:

When the icon for Rampage was leaked, I noticed he looked like The Shredder from Ninja Turtles. My friends and I agreed that it would be hilarious to make a sound mod to give Rampage Shredder's voice from the old cartoon. Since he's on a rhino, it would be extra awesome if the sound clips were from Shredder talking to Rocksteady.

I think you'd be the best guy to do this, since you've already made a bunch of hilarious similar mods, and I definitely want to see someone put The Shredder in HoN.

Some heroes have problems with death sound clips...

usually the heroes that didn't have a death sound before i add the mod.. wont after either..

I tried placing the death sound file in the same spot as normal..but it still doesn't read it..

not sure why..it will probably be fixed when s2 gets more cosmetic with the game and fills in all the tiny gaps and voices.

The originals should be in:
heroes of newerth>game>resouces0

open it with winrar or whatever

then look in heroes. Pick whatever hero. And then look under Sounds.
For voice sounds, then look under voice.

yeah pokemon don't work too well. although if they had more sayings, everything else about polywrath is just perfect. too bad. the only exception would probably be pikachu, since he is popular, and there are a ton of truly diverse intonations for it.

-morphing voice is a pretty good idea. so when he transforms you can assign another set of voices? cool stuff. then you can be as flexible as you want to be. maybe some of his more mean/angry sounding clips could be applied to the transformed unit? that's another way..
-so then is it possible to have voice for the bear also? i'm sure yogi's sidekick says a lot of stuff too

This is another mod that HiM` did as well, it's the HoN Game music (GG REMIX) or something like that.

He basically replaced the in game music with Guilty Gear music, good stuff. Didn't get the good songs (Holy Orders, Suck a Sage or Vampire Saga), but the songs were ok :D

Sounds in the ability folders are sound effects for the skills themselves, not voices. If you look at HiM's mods, he put ability_1_grunt.ogg in there, and doesn't have any cast.ogg or impact.ogg, cause those are sounds that happen when the hero starts casting the spell (the sound effect for the spell itself, like the water rush when he charges) and not voices.

I just work with what the resouces0 file gives me. Sometimes it a cast file. Sometimes it's a ability grunt file. I just listen to them and decide if that's the sound I'm looking to change.

Edit: Let me be a little more clear, ie. if you were to try to put Leonidas voice on every HoN hero.

Ps. I downloaded the full package, everything works great except sand wraiths voice is still on there, with Mort coming in only once in a while. Not sure if its just an error on my end or anything.

OK so I went through all the sounds and had to uninstall almost all of them. The only sound mods I now keep on are:

Dr. Zoidberg Kraken (The best)
Homer Pebbles
Quagmire Magebane

There were a few soundbytes I questioned and a couple that were of poor quality/volume, but overall the reason I had to uninstall most of your sound mods is a small oversight and becomes a major problem.

Looking at my favorite sound mod- Zoidberg, I noticed the main reason why it stands out so much. The reason is that gwho gave him more than the standard number of sayings. gwho's sound mod has 9 sayings for move, 9 for attack, and 9 for selection. HiM's sound mods seem to all have just 4 for each. Considering how often players are moving around and attacking this is a huge problem and the main reason people turn hero sounds off.

HiM, I would likely use almost every one of your mods if you just added a few more lines to move and attack. Having 9+ would be ideal (if HoN supports more than 9, all the better), but even 6-7 would be fine.

I can understand some of the voices being hard to get lines for, but you could easily find thousands of usable homer lines. Sound files for the heavy are also very easy to come by. Before you go making more sound mods I think it would be worth your time to just add a few more lines to each of your existing ones as they are all great starts. Nice job so far.

Get around to what? I think the Zoidberg mod is pretty well fleshed out and I don't even know what more there would be to add. I was suggesting that for HiM and all the other mods that just use 4 move/select/attack sounds. Though I guess more good Zoidberg sounds would be welcome if the engine even cycles through more than 9.

Looking at my favorite sound mod- Zoidberg, I noticed the main reason why it stands out so much. The reason is that gwho gave him more than the standard number of sayings. gwho's sound mod has 9 sayings for move, 9 for attack, and 9 for selection. HiM's sound mods seem to all have just 4 for each. Considering how often players are moving around and attacking this is a huge problem and the main reason people turn hero sounds off.

HiM, I would likely use almost every one of your mods if you just added a few more lines to move and attack. Having 9+ would be ideal (if HoN supports more than 9, all the better), but even 6-7 would be fine.

I can understand some of the voices being hard to get lines for, but you could easily find thousands of usable homer lines. Sound files for the heavy are also very easy to come by. Before you go making more sound mods I think it would be worth your time to just add a few more lines to each of your existing ones as they are all great starts. Nice job so far.

Well then I guess it's best I do the following:

*Updated Cookie Monster Adding more sounds!
*Updated Bill Cosby Adding more sounds!
*Updated Heavy Adding more sounds!
*Updated Tourettes Guy Adding more sounds!
*Updated Home Simpson Adding more sounds!
*Updated Bender Adding more sounds!

More sound mean I tried to double the amount of clips for Moving, Attack, and Selecting. (around 9 per action)
This way you wont hear a lot of repeats. Hopefully this will make the mods not get old quite as fast :P

Also Updated the Resource5000 file to include these new updated files.
And of course changed out the download links the each file to the new updates.

So obviously if you want the new updated files please re-download them.

Remember if you cant download with rapidshare there is a link to my MEDIAFIRE page at the bottom of the first post.

I'll try to update the other files over time..
Some of them are going to be much harder to find additional sound clips.

This. It makes downloading them all seperatly a HUGE pain, you really should use mediafire.

(although you can just download the big pack and edit out the ones you don't want).

I use rapidshare first because I use rapidshare for a variety of things..and your downloads give me benefits..so its a nice way of saying "thanks"
but if its too much trouble then just use the mediafire link.

Also There might be a slight delay on the sound fixes guys.. Im already at the airport and heading to Cali for 10 days for the holidays. If i have a day of nothing much going on Ill try to squeeze it in..otherwise might be a bit.

Im fully aware who Adam West is..

But heres the deal.


There is a vast amount of good quality and funny MAYOR Adam West clips out there. Funny kinda goes with the theme of my mods..as you can see..
If i went with just Adam west.... I'd have a mix of clear sounding and poor quality old batman clips... it would sound crappy and make little sense. I did what I thought was best. Plaguerider currently has no voice..and I always try to use those heroes first.

If people don't like it they can make their own or transfer them themselves.. there is a tut in this forum :/
