Splitable wards

Background:
I'm pretty sure this isn't in the game already, unless there's some special trick I don't know about.

Many times we've realized we wanted 1 ward for each lane, but our supporter already bought 2x wards and it's too late to sell them back... And there's no way of splitting them... (That I know of)

Suggestion:
Make wards splitable.
Ctrl+click = 1x ward separates from the stack. (For example)

Would also be good if wards from other players could stack with your own, but that's not part of this suggestion...

I really need this. Sometimes I just get too excited and purchase two by accident. Plus it's really annoying to have to split them in the way we do now. ;[

Oh, and I also want this because I play with a lot of players who are unfamiliar to support and the game, so I get people who buy 2 wards just because it's on the default guide and then they go to the short lane with both, leaving us in the long lane to be extra careful. "Don't worry, I will place one for you soon." Never happens... :x

Yeah, not sure if they can put in a separate timer for sell-backs though. But if they can - that would be a great added bonus!

I sometimes catch myself buying a TP when I already have 2... so I run around with 2-3. Those are facepalm moments. :p

Well having 2-3 is never bad honestly, they always come into use :3.

Sure, eventually, but buying too many at once locks up your gold that you could've used for other more, at the time, useful items. :)
Having 2 is fine a lot of the time, but 3... is very overkill :p

That is the only thing going against this idea, that this situation is rare. I've experienced it and it didn't really impact the game much - consider games with no wards vs 2 wards on one lane. Still, it would be nice to have. It could be useful later in the game as well by having wards split on the bird so multiple people can place them at the same time.

It's harder to sell an item than to realize that a wardstack is permanent. If you want to split them you have to sell them back before the time is up and buy wards separately in stash/courier or give the first one away first.

It's just needless hassle, whereas being able to retrieve accidentally sold items would be a new feature, in comparison.

It's possible to lose your lane because a hero on the other lane was too eager and bought out all the wards and leaving you vunrable from being ganked from the unknown.
