Hi, i tested jungle maliken today and i was surprised it does work. It DOES but you are better in lane. I found its really difficult to lvl 1 jungle and i even suggest going in at lvl 2.

Items i got were, a health pot, buckler and hatchet.
Skill Build consists of going Sword of the Damned and Hellbourne Zeal.

Strategy

• Kill easy creeps always! Later, these guys are free fountain heal when your low hp because of LifeEssence and Hellbourne Zeal
• Do not attempt to kill Catman camps unless your lvl 5
• Stack pullable creeps and then pull them to lane. This is a must for bonus exp.
• Use Enchanted Flames to quickly finish stronger monsters, then heal from weaker minions
• Kill Ancients at lvl 8

Conclusion.
He can do it. But its like... Moon Queen jungle or something really weird. I barely just got 200 gpm at level 4 to 6. It was slow grinding at lvl 1.
I dont see how this is good because you will be low hp most of the time and its easy kills for enemies. That being said. It works. Try it, its not that bad!

You can jungle with just about any hero, I usually jungle for fun on my sub and I've been jungling effectively with chipper, behe, fadey, vindi, geomancer, tundra, armadon and many more.
This is obviously without pulling untill 5 and things like that.

The most fun was sr and fadey sr goes to acients with aura and stacks them, fadey stacks hard camps in between easy camps and then culls the hard camps multiple times to kill them.

But about maliken's jungling potential, he survives quite well in jungle but he sure jungles slow as hell it is so much better to acually lane with him as he gets both more farm earlier and might be able to snatch some kills, as his laning is quite strong, but once you have those steamboots, chalice and the whimpering helm you can easily cleanse the jungle.
(I think my sentences contain to many commas)

The slowest jungler was probably chipper.

a way to do this effectively is to lane wit a great sololaner. Εnd by great I mean GREAT I mean GREAT. Take bubbles/ witch in lane ( for example) and splitfarm. When u splitfarm the lane, the soolo hero won't getso left behind. It should be a hero who needs average farm, for example a witch with early pk and steams is great.

a way to do this effectively pick up buckler and runes x6, rest minor totems, and go get lv3. Level 1 at sword toss for escape, and then 1 at 2nd and 2 at 3rd after that max 2nd. Level ult, and take out 2 double stacks with ult. Buy insantarius or alchemists, then attack modifier of choise.

Gank when solo hits 6 if your mid joins.

But ofc, if sololane fails go back to lane, and you might want to know the player who sololanes.

Maliken jungle from 1 isn't super effective

Sounds pretty damn bad to me if you can go 300gpm in lane while getting kills on the opponents instead of giving them a 2v1 lane where they'll be able to get farm instead.

The only time I would ever jungle maliken, is if I had already died in lane and I felt like they would be able to kill me again for sure. If you're not dying in lane, there is no way the jungle will give you a comparable amount of gold or xp.

i have seen behe, tundra and arma jungle well

There was an Arma guide around here a while ago that talked about a very difficult, but very effective level 1 jungling strategy with Arma. It involved buying bottle first, getting a teammate to upgrade the courier, and using spines to stack and kill the creeps. Basically you had to use the flying courier to constantly be ferrying your bottle back and forth from the well, so you almost had to convince a support to buy a whole new flying courier for you.

I never tried it but supposedly you could get a very high GPM from doing this.

Tundra farming is hard to pull off, but works relatively well if you can do it. It's all about timing your nuke to pull neutrals into your creeps before they return to lane.

The Armadon strategy wouldn't work any more now that bottle ferrying is dead.

As for Maliken... I can't see him jungling effectively, even moreso than Predator. Sword Throw, in my opinion, is much to good of a harass tool to give up.

Obviously since ferrying no longer works...

Well yeah that too. I wasn't saying that it would work now, I was just mentioning it as a curious sidenote.

That sounds awesome. That armadon thing. Too bad ferrying does not work. Sounds like a strat from dota imo

I got an even better idea: Convince a support to buy a bottle, buy one yourself and let the support ferry it for you once you have used all charges on both. And in between let him stack camps. I mean the support can roam a bit till you have emptied your 2 bottles and then pick them up and refill them while you finish a small camp. Supports anyway need no level. Also you got 3 solo lanes (1 suicide lane).

Anyone feels like trying this? :>

To bad Abysall Skull doesn't work on Maliken when he ults. Because the pieces from this item help you jungle a lot better. Just get a trinket, then ring, then hungry spirit. The first 2 pieces are very cheap and help you stay in the jungle a lot longer.

If you want to jungle with any meele hero, just start building an Abysall Skull and you'll do fine.

It was a strat from dota that carried over to hon while bottle ferrying was still possible.

Very effective, but equally dangerous.
