View Full Version : [SOLVED] Screen freezes ingame

As mentioned in the title my screen freezes for about 10 seconds in games. this has also occurred once during picking phase too, but then it only lasted for about 3 seconds. I run HoN in highest quality, direct X 9 and windowed mode. I have never had any problems earlier.

I have tried to re-install HoN without sucsess.
My PC speccs:
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTS 360M
CPU: i5 dual core with a total of 4 threads at 2.3 GHz
Ram: 4Gb

I should probably also mention that when my screen freezes, HoN sometimes become unresponsible. And after it has happened once or twice, I can't see chrome or skype even when I tab them to the front. HoN is stuck at the front. A restart of HoN solves this, but then when the screen has frozen a few times, it i sagain stuck in the front.

Check if disabling your antivirus resolves the issue.

For clarification, when you reinstalled, did you make sure to completely uninstall (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/wiki/index.php/Complete_Reinstall)?

It still occours after trying the AV thing and doing a complete reinnstall. Gonna upload the console.log

Aside from hon does you computer have any other issues? Any BSoD?

No. It's just HoN that freezes. BSoD appears very randomly. Sometimes HoN crashes during the freeze (No BSoD involved)

When you reinstalled did you delete your Documents/Heroes Of Newerth directory before installing?

I'm seeing your getting some server lag. When you freeze does the whole screen freeze? or do walking animations play but just loop?

Do me a favor and make sure ports TCP:80 (login/update), TCP:11031 (chatserver) and UDP:11235-11335 (game servers) are open and/or forwarded on your firewall and router.

It appears everything is okay on my side, to the extent that Norman security suite let you see incoming/outgoing connections

Just HoN. After a few freezes, it wont let me bring any other programs to the front
