Looking to play better

Any good advice for a mid skill player to further my game play?

I try and practice the basic as much as possible, but I want to try and start practicing more skilled playing.

My advice would be watch all the pro competition vids if you already havent.

Other than that try and find a few mates to just get 3s or 4s going and practice teamwork and other crap.

What are some good lane combos for a pub game? Say someone goes scout or glacius what should I be going like magmus?

I would try something like Pest. He has a reveal at level 6 for those pesky dissapearing characters.
