Ever since the Artesia patch, everything sounds like it's got too much reverb and has a shitty underwater effect filter on it. Nothing at all has changed on my machine. A friend has noticed the same thing. Anyone else? Only seems to happen when I'm using 5.1. Stereo is fine.

I have a dolby 5.1 headset to test with, I just need to make sure I have it set-up properly, I will report back later.

Just some sitting around and using spells in a practice game. The reverb at the end of the 5.1 track (when nothing is going on) is ridiculous.
Recorded with FRAPS. Same volume. Same sample rate.
I have NO DSP effects, equalizer settings, "enhancements", etc. enabled for my sound device. Sound was much less obnoxious before the Artesia patch.

Just looking at a graph of it it's pretty obvious there's a lot more bass and reverb in the 5.1 mix, and it's not just confined to the subwoofer channel.
I can mitigate the problem by shunting lower frequencies from all channels to the subwoofer channel, but the soundstage didn't used to have this problem. It's almost as bad as TF2's reverb from about a year ago.

It's more of a sound engine bug according to SoundWizard

So I'm not crazy and there was indeed a change recently?
well FMOD was recently bumped (the sound library HoN uses) for windows, likewise with that bump 5.1 broke, so there may be something in this
