Hi All,
I hosted a Noob Training Ground game today.
I plan on hosting some more.
Anyone interested?
I enjoy teaching new people, so it is always good fun.
Lesson 1; don't pick scout. :)

I do have interest. I'll add you to my friends list :D
Question 1: Why we shouldnīt pick scout???
Thankyou very much.

Because he isn't very noob friendly. Easy to kill and counter with invis revealing items.
9 out of 10 scouts don't use his skills properly, and most of these games end up basically being 4 vs 5. Half of the scouts don't even use their wards, and few use the wards properly.
Most just stand around battles and wait until someone is on 50hp, and then attack him, when the rest of his team is wiped out.
Also, I recommend higher HP heroes for noobs, and heroes with a decent disable.
He is very item reliant, so you need to be able to last hit really well, if you want to own with him.

Another question about Scout, what is the best way to counter invis??? I hate that he is always sneaking up on me.
And what are the best noob friendly heroes to start??? I tend to play Arachna and Maliken.
GentleGroove, is that you in game name??? So I can search for you.
Cheers.

His ingame name is probably GentleGroove
Jereziah and Accursed are quite "noobfriendly" heroes Accursed more so than Jereziah basically all you need to do is put fireshield on people and use cauterize to heal them/hit enemies
Swiftblade is also a "noobfriendly" hero as most game you just need to run into people and press q or r for a kill :P
For stealth dectection i would say buy some wards (blue ones) Dust of revelation or a bound eye(drops when you die so becareful if you get one)

Dust is by far the most effective stealth revealing item for noobs.

I'm not sure on the whole "high hp heroes are better for noobs"
Some of my best games have been with Demented Shaman and Succubus, but then again they both have a disable.
But yeah, how would I get in on this?
Also, my in-game name is Crinkz if you'd prefer to add me.

I'd love to play with other noobs and avoid all the "OMFG U SUCK!"'s
Guess I'll just add you and watch the friendlist for your created games.

Try Plague Rider. I guarantee you will get a double kill within your first two games of playing him. :D
He's an int hero with high int gain, native mana restoration, and a +armor buff, so it's very easy to build him into a tanky beast since you don't need to directly focus on +mana items.
PM me if you want some help playing him :)

Thanks for the tip, I will try Plague Rider today. To keep me from beeing even more off topic here, I'll PM you about some doubts I have.
Cheers.

Buy an eye, aslong as you have a way to escape from him when you see him coming.
Arachna is fairly easy to play, doesn't get much easier. She has kind of low hp.
Maliken is a bit harder to play with, timing your wave. Knowing when to use the damage/heal sword, etc. Using his ulti at the right time is also important. I recommend bkb with Maliken if you're playing him, orb in, ulti, hit hit hit, bkb, hit hit hit.
Yeah that is my game name.

Yeah he is right, Plague Rider is awesome for noobs. Just spam his skills, and his ulti is sure to give you kills even if you don't do it perfect.
Kracken is a good character for noobs, his first move makes last hitting really easy, he has lots of hp and his charge is good for attacking and running.
Blacksmith is good for noobs too. Stun, slow, huge damage. A move that increases attack speed, plus he is a decent tank. A chance to kill a hero with one button press.
Accursed and Pharaoh are both quite decent characters for noobs too, easy to play and easy to stay alive with.

quick reply on this since it's fairly easy to differentiate, and dust can only be used offensively (unless you have a godly 6th sense).
Dust - usually meant to chase someone who has invis
Wards - gives sight in an area, great for laning or team battle locations
Bound eye - if you have someone that doesn't die on your team (farmed accursed, blinker, or invis)

My biggest problem is defence against scout, if theres a tower being attacked by creeps, my hp is at 70% and I go to defend it, the scout player always seems to find me in that position. And I donīt know if I'm wrong, but scout seems to have a really high DPS after mid game. So he comes in slaps me in the face a few times and when I start to react he runs (fade) away and then ulti.
As Fyre said, dust is no good in this situation, as you would have to guess when he is coming. Wards is more viable, but if he is waiting for you near the creeps, you donīt have time to place wards. It seems that the eye is the way to go, but then you are so scared to die that you donīt fight well on team fights.
I'm thinking on maybe buying an eye for defence and leting it on the ground near the fontain when we go for a push, but that may require too much moving around to pick up and put down the eye.
To sum it up: I HATE playing against a good scout :)
