Hi, I have the ps3 eye as my microphone and it works fine for other programs like Dota 2 and Skype. It used to work for HoN until I upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows 7 Ultimate. I've tried reinstalling HoN and upgraded all my drivers and still no luck. I've been trying to fix this issue for weeks now and no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried running HoN as administrator? If not please do so.

Check this as well:

USB Headsets
1. Go to My Documents/Heroes of Newerth/Game

2. Open up "startup.cfg", scroll down to 'SetSave "sound_disable"' and change "True" to "False". Save the file and close it.

3. Run HoN and go to Options.

4. Option "Disable Sounds" should be unchecked and a list of Sound Drivers available.

Yes, I've tried running HoN as administrator and did the 'disable sound' thing. Still no luck.

Is there no fix for this issue? I've seen other posts like mine and none of them have been solved.

Hello,

i checked if there is a mircophone found by hon.
There is one, but its labeled, USB-Camera.
I think hon can't find your Microsphone.
Check if there are updates for your Mainboard.

I know I updated all the drivers that I could but the thing is, I don't know a lot about computers and if I updated "all" of my drivers. So is there anything I can download to see if everything is up to date? Plus, before I upgraded my computer HoN used to pick up my microphone as usb-camera and it stilled worked.

Hello,

what mainboard do you have?
Check www.intel.com -> Menü -> Support -> Download newest driver -> Automatic detection.
Most of the boards are using intel software so its the best if you get right to the source ;)

Hello `Co`Co, i'm not a senior but I'm going to give it a shot.

Do you know if the USB Mic that you are using is set as a default recording device?
If you don't know that for sure please go to the little "Speaker" that can be found on your taskbar near the clock, right click on it and select "Recording devices". After you did these click on your USB Mic and then click on "Set Default"

My usb microphone is set as default recording device. The thing I don't get is why my mic works for other programs like Skype Or Dota 2 and not HoN.

Hello,

could you provide us with an Screenshot from your Voicesettings?
Please so that we can see the different devices, if there are any.

I'm not trolling if your thinking that... I'm not a computer person so don't know much about the mechanics. I just want my mic to work again!
