View Full Version : Fileplay HoN Section Feedback
Hey,
As HoN content is becoming particularly popular on Fileplay - particularly thanks to chapy's (stridah) VoD, I'm hoping to find out what the HoN community would like to see. Particularly relating to things such as the player itself, what information comes with the content (teams/picks etc), how you find the content and so on.

The above link is a good representation of how the site currently is. The original content is of a decent quality so you get a good idea of SD/HD streaming.
Feel free to be as far fetched as you like, feedback is most certainly listened to. Oh, and a little teaser, live streaming may not be far away ;)

No logging in to view HD.
Brief summary of the games bans and picks, which player is playing each hero.

Agreed. The logging in for HD is kind of expected but... yeah.
However a little section of text above or below the video with the bans and each "Team Member - Hero" would be sweet.
Saw that the side columns don't bring up ads anymore eh? Good call =D. Also a fan of the Lights Off feature.
Other than that, more vids! Hehe. The WHP vs QuC matches were both great and well casted, imo.

More statistics on the matches would be nice, maybe a post below the video or something.
Other then that Stridah is doing an awesome job with the casting -- I like the Super HD vids, too bad his hard drive is QQ'in about space.

The only annoying thing is that it doesn't stop to buffer when the video catches up with the loading. Instead, it just freezes for about 2 seconds every 5-10 seconds.

Just having a list of picks/bans would be nice, and some extra stats as folks mentioned. Other than that it's good, quality is absolutely amazing and no more hidden background ads.

Well I do like pretty much everything about Fileplay, and logging in isn't too hard given that you don't really give them much.
I'd just like to see a ton more HD Content if Chapy can store it and upload it without his hard drive exploding. He needs an extra TB :P
Dude. I still can't figure out why the stream didn't work for my latest uploaded video. Wut the f m8.

Add the ability to embed videos.

Probably something to do with being impatient...

Yeah, sorry. I didn't realize it took a bit of time for the stream to go up after uploading. I was confused.

The site looks great and the videos look amazing. The only problem I have is very very slow buffer times. Tonight I picked a video, cooked a steak, came back and was still only able to watch 1/3 a match before it had to buffer some more.

Game Date, info on round/tournament for whatever it is.
Bans (in order, by team) picks (same), and lanes.
That's really all, then just get more content, start sorting it by league/tournament, and watch it grow. =) If you can set up live streams with delay too, that'd be awesome.
Thanks for the feedback. As an immediate 'feature' I'm going to look at putting the team info in the description and making them into links so that if you click them you'll see all the matches with that hero/player on Fileplay.
It's most likely something we'll make into a full feature in the near future however should do the trick for now.
What do people think about the quality of the videos I'm uploading? Should they be higher? Lower, maybe? Just curious.

This is perfect, u can both watch the game AND download it. Watching the lineup for each team is just more berries in the basket : D

The tRn vs CC game 2 in 720 HD looks really good and streams fine, better than youtube 720.
It's a fresh alternative, offering stream and dl. <3 multiplay, now to afford i39 :/
