Pharaoh OH GOD THERE'S FIRE COMING OUT OF MY EYES AND MOUTH
http://i29.tinypic.com/288b75y.png
Description
Hi i'm Pharaoh and i'm a direct copy of RattleTrap, only difference is i'm not a trash can and they gave me zombies (awesome!). Also my ultimate got buffed and has a FAST projectile

Pro's & Cons
Pro's:
- Excellent ganker
- Good overall HP
- Okay animation for last-hitting
- Rune & Map control
- Fun to play

Cons:
- 4 active skills, so needs mana
- Not good for -em if you were planning that -_-
- Two skills that needs accuracy and thinking
- Compared to other heroes he's mediocre
- Kinda useless very late game

Skills

http://i31.tinypic.com/2n8vd42.png

Activation [Q]

Target Self, Hits Visible Enemy Units
Radius 300
Mana cost: 75
Cooldown: 32/28/24/20

For 10 seconds, impacts a random target in radius every 0.75 seconds, dealing 20/40/60/80 magic damage and stunning them for 0.1 seconds

Comment: This skill does ministuns around you for a set time. Great skill for chasing.
This also interrupts channeling skills.

http://i25.tinypic.com/2lucumw.png

Activation [W]

Mana cost: 50/60/70/80
Cooldown 15 seconds

Spawns 8 Mummies around self for 3/4/5/6 seconds. Pushes away nearby Mummies, dealing 55/70/85/100 True damage and draining 55/70/85/100 Mana. Each mummy can perform 1 push. Each Mummy takes three attacks for others to destroy, one attack for self to destroy.

Comment: This skill summons a wall of zombies around you, theres a little space around you where you can trap heroes within.
Enemy heroes touching the zombies take hp and mana damage and will be pushed back.
This makes this skill so versatile since you can also use it to escape. A hero is chasing you, you cast Wall, they get pushed back.
Make sure you deny one zombie so you can exit yourself, this takes 1 hit.
Note: Enhanced Marchers can walk through the zombies, enemies can walk out, but you can escape easier too.

http://i26.tinypic.com/34fk7rb.png

Activation [E]

Target Position Enemy
Type: Magic
Range: Unlimited
Radius: 600
Mana cost: 50
Cooldown: 30/25/20/15

Launches projectile to target location. When projectile reaches target location, it damages all enemies within radius for 80/120/160/200 Magic damage. Target area is then revealed for 5/10/15/20 seconds.

Comment: Unlimited range nuke, also reveals the map.
This is a good scouting skill, use it for runes, jungling heroes or that king kong dude.
It can also be used to last hit fleeing heroes that your allies can't kill.

http://i31.tinypic.com/o8htdy.png

Activation [R]

Target Position Non-Neutral Enemies
Type: Magic
Range: 2000/2500/3000
Mana cost: 150
Cooldown: 80/60/40 seconds

Fires a projectile in target direction, taking 0.5 seconds to reach its maximum range of 2000/2500/3000. Upon impacting a non-neutral enemy unit, stuns that unit for 0.5 seconds and drags self over 0.5 seconds toward the impacted unit's location. During the drag, any units that pass within a 200 radius of self will be stunned for 1/1,5/2 second(s) and receive 100/200/300 Magic damage.

Comment: This is a hook skill that will grapple you to an ENEMY hero. Also stuns and damages.
This is your initiating skill, the projectile is fast but timing is essential if you have running heroes.
Note: This skill does not hit phased (enhanced marchers) heroes.

Skill Build

Level 1 - Tormented Soul
Level 2 - Hellfire
Level 3 - Hellfire
Level 4 - Wall of Mummies/Tormented Soul
Level 5 - Hellfire
Level 6 - Wrath of the Pharaoh
Level 7 - Hellfire
Level 8 - Tormented Soul
Level 9 - Tormented Soul
Level 10 - Tormented Soul/ Wall of Mummies
Level 11 - Wrath of the Pharaoh
Level 12+ Then just add your ulti asap and max Wall of mummies.

Comments: Both Tormented Soul and Hellfire will help with ganking from early to mid game. If you want,
get one level of Wall of Mummies because it can help you with ganking & escaping. For new players
I wouldn't recommend early game.

Item build

[U]Starting items

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/accessories/item1pretendercrown.jpg Pretender Crown x2
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/supplies/item12runesofblight.jpg Runes of Blight x2
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/accessories/minortotem.jpg Minor Totem x1

OR

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/accessories/crushingclaws.jpg Crushing Claws x2
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/supplies/item12runesofblight.jpg Runes of Blight x2
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/accessories/minortotem.jpg Minor Totem x2

[U]Core items you should get

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/supplies/bottle.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Initiation/enhancedmarchers.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Initiation/item6fortifiedbracelet.jpg
Bottle helps you with ganking by giving you a good healing source between your ganks. It also helps to support your mana pool for your skills.
Enhanced Marchers are awesome. Armor bonus which he can use (Pharaoh has crappy base armor) and the phasing helps ganking alot.
Fortified Bracelets give generally good bonuses for Pharaoh, get a pair of them.

Items which help with ganking

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Relics/portalkey.jpg Portal Key
Your ultimate has quite the cooldown, 80 at level 6 and 60 at level 11. This dagger will help setting up Wall of Mummies or Hellfire better.
It also helps with chasing and escaping.

Late game, luxury items

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Protective/item11frostfieldplate.jpg Frostfield plate
Gives another nuke with a slow, synergies with Hellfire.
Actually, any int item will work with rattletrap, as long as you don't get any dps items.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Secret%20Shop/axeofthemalphai.jpg Axe of the Malphai
Gives Strength to survive late game
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Protective/shrunkenhead.jpg Shrunken Head
Without his skills, Pharaoh will just be smacking stuff for low damage, if you're facing long disables get this.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Protective/shamansheaddress.jpg Shamans Headress
Get this when facing nukers.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v169/snagg3r/HoNItems/Supportive/puzzlebox.jpg Puzzle Box
Bonusers are good foor Pharaoh, the extra minions you get deal quite some damage and counter invisible heroes at level 3. Get this if you know how to handle it.

Laning

Level 1-6
Last hitting is not essential, as long as you get a bottle before level 6 you should do fine. Make sure you are in range when a opponent creep dies so you get the xp.
Don't get hit alot, use the runes to recover hp. If you must, use Tormented Soul to last hit.

Level 6 and later
You got your bottle and ultimate, it's time to gank. Support your allies by helping them with killing their lane opponents. Use alt + leftclick on the minimap to tell your allies you're going to try to kill someone.
Initiate a kill by using Wrath on a hero, you'll be pulled towards him. Use wall of mummies which makes them immobile for a while and cast Hellfire.
Between ganks heal up with bottle and check for runes at every 2 minutes. Use tormented soul to scout for them.

there is no way you are going puzzlebox sorry:P, hack n slash / helm of black lion / heart are way better imo

Generally on this guy the more hp you have the more you kill everything near you. You outlast other people getting yourself close to them and pounding their face in with mini stuns, I don't suggest a necro book either.

I agree with the Heart and no +damage items though, he's not a hitter but he does need the HP.

Hack n Slash is useless since he doesn't need the maim or the stats.

Vanguard always makes me go 'meh'. Bracelets do the job too and are way cheaper.

i usually go enhanced marchers, bottle, brutalizer, warpcleft > ac, and game usually ends before i get any other items

i like to get brutalizer cus it goes well with ur ministun spell

Also it might be important to note that enhanced marchers can walk through your own mummies (from the inside to the outside) which saves time when your escaping (instead of denying).

Futher the ult also does not work on heroes that have enhanced marchers on.

Lol no blink dagger? It is a typical build in Dota -> Phase, 2 Bracers, Bottle, Blink + whatever (usually you don't get further items with Clock, ideally you would have 50 cs MAX in a game)

This IS a ganking hero after all...

Shrunken head is a must have for pharaoh along with phase boots, spot on there. I use tormented sole largely to harass other lanes where my team is having a hard time levelling, goes down swimmingly every time. Frostfield Plate is another top pick also, playing on this hero's role as utility later-on from full fledged gank. Good job, man! =)

I don't know the "HoN-item-words", therefore I'll tell you the DotA names.

Tangoes x3 & Mana potions x4
Bottle
Phase Boots
Bracer x2
Hood or Linkins
Heart / Shivas

If you farm pretty well, which means a Radiance within the first 20-25 minutes, buy it!

PS: I know some will say "wtf item build", just give it a shot and u'll see
PPS: Anyone who can translate my DotA phrases into HoN phrases do it please.

my build is phase, 2x bracers, vang (to take a beating while mini stun chasing) - from there if you farmed well go rad, if you havn't go straight for heart or else you wont have much time left to tank up before end-game

This is a ganking hero, end of story about expensive items plz

please do not post any item suggestions that are more than tier 2 recipes (or at least label them as pub builds).

Thank you :)

No seriously, when you started reading you thought this was a guide for the non-existing scene called competetive HoN?

I'll add the phasing bugs later.

Ahahaha, this made my day :D First you say that you need to be ganking all the time with the hero and then suggest Tier 4 items as item build?

Next time make a Nerubian Assassin Dota guide with an item build of Dagon Level 5 + Guinso. Moron.

Luxury, means not needed. But you know that already don't you.
You can practically play Pharaoh with his core till midgame and finish the game.

Go make your own guide instead of harassing mine.

Ok, then add Blink Dagger to the list at least. And Hood as an alternative to Shrunken Head (as it is cheaper). Too bad there is no Pipe in HoN (yet).

See, that's something I can work with, thanks

Max the rocket asap so you can farm & harass. This hero is one of the best melee choices for solo line.

HunteR_

his rocket is best nuke in game. Great for farming, great for harass, great for lane.

Needs mana, but book? :/

I've put in luxuries since it gives you two stats which suit him. Besides that you get two awesome minions, when if microed correct, do more damage then any other item.

If you're not happy with that, you can also go for frostfield plate if you get that far in the game.

Bottle is everything you need for many anyways btw, runes are no problem either. (Tormented Soul scouting ftw)

Early game Ring of the Teacher is pretty awesome, you'll have the mana to cast Tormented Soul as soon as it's off CD

Two bolstering armbands at start? Really?..
I'm pretty sure you meant the circlets (+2 to all stats).

Aghanim's would be part of his core in 6.60 and onward (sadly HoN is like 6.59d), but anyway...

Solid guide like Ingolf's, but in team battles your goal should be to lock out a single enemy with your Wrath of the Pharoah+Wall of Mummies

mana regen is key on him at start. i max the long range nuke first, harassing oher lanes that are trying to tower hug

maybe i am just newb but i absolutely love getting blademail on him. nothing like trapping a melee hero in with you, stunning him, and when he does get to hit you he takes damage too.

my pharoah build is based more on offense to late game.
-Enhanced marchers/Steam Boots
-Hack(no slash until needed)
-Abyssal Skull/Eldar parasite (recommended when their heroes are weak)
-Brutalizer
the other two slots are very late game, you can make up your own build...
i myself, get a shrunken head for casters, and a critical strike or a savage mace against an agi hero team.

p.s early game i get ring of basilus

Oh yeah that reminds me, to all the people who question the worthiness of Puzzlebox (Necronomicon), it's an awesome item for him. Before the era of 6.60 where Aghanim's and Magic Stick existed, ever seen a Necronomicon Clockwerk Goblin? It owns. Gives him strength, mana and the ability to do quite a bit when he traps someone with his Cogs

Fun uses for Missile:
-Pull neutral creeps into your lane
-Farm other teams creeps
-Push lanes with no friendly heroes from across the map
