I haven't seen panda being played in comp scene but I was wondering if the insanitarius + shrunken head core is still valid after the introduction of sol's and now grave.
is it still better to buff furry hits by using insanitarious or would be better to pick up sol's + sb? maybe with skull or something...
Just a curiosity that I got after seeing a lot of pandas lately in pubs.

Just a curiosity that I got after seeing a lot of pandas lately in pubs.sol's + sb rushes is horrible on panda, don't do it unless you want a suiciding panda build. just pick drunken master or monkey king instead if you want one of those, they have the mobility and low cooldowns for it to work; panda however does not.
Sol's is a decent pickup if no one else on your team is getting it, but other than that stick with the regular old builds; you want panda to be surviving when he does his work, not ulting in a team fight, killing one guy and getting bursted down in 3 seconds after killing whoever he got in contact with.
I'm still a fan of bottle and hotbl->disassemble To nullstone+heart after shrunken on him, but I think after ghosts+mana regen, any order of nullstone/shrunken/sols/insanitarius depending on the situation should do well. Nullstone for earlier regen/single target spell negation, shrunken for unstoppable ulti in team fights, sols for armor and negative armor aura, insanitarius for cheap big stats/damage.
in short, panda needs the survivability to be effective, he doesn't have low cooldown dashes like mk or drunken, so shield breaker rush is **** on him. Don't go shieldbreaker unless you're 100% sure you won't be taking damage (aka ur playing vs retards). And in those situations you should've just picked drunken/monkey king instead.
and just throwing this in there, obligatory "ghost marchers or you're bad" :p you're doing it wrong if ur getting steams, panda needs the mobility to initiate properly and also not get kited like a scrub.

http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/heroesguide_view.php?gid=54399 Replace the iron shield with grave locket. Most important thing about panda is surviability. :pand:
(Also skip health and mana pot and go for a crush claw for a tad better last hitting.)

I realize the -armor build although apealling is a risky one given that pandas ult just puts a big "target me" sing on him specially if you don't have shrunken head.
Another thing I noticed reading guides is how a lot of people max furry first and I wondered if that's really the way to go, it seems you can be perma oom by trying to kill anyone with it, wouldn't it be better to get flick and cannonball for easy kills in lane? does anybody knows if the math about it was already done somewhere in the forums? I mean I know cannonball is hard to aim but paired with a ranged disabler would mean almost sure hit since ifaik once panda is on the fly he can't be stunned until he lands.

I mean I know cannonball is hard to aim but paired with a raged disabler would mean almost sure ban since ifaik once panda is on the fly he can't be stunned until he lands.the way I see it, if you're playing Panda as more of a farming carry type, you go flurry+Cannonball early as it'll make farming cake, especially with a Sustainer or lifetube+chalice. Flurry is really cheap mana and can be used to last hit, and when you get enough damage early it'll start one-shotting creep waves with the combo, as well as making killing neutral stacked camps a breeze. It also hits hard, and isn't as much a skillshot as Cannonball is. It's much more reliable so long as you are facing the right way :p
If you're going more ganky-roaming Panda early on though, definitely go Flick+Cannonball because leveling flick early guarantees Cannonball to hit because the slow gets better as you level Flick; flick also gives some nasty negative armor to make Cannonball hit really hard early on. and you're not concentrating on afk-farming so much early on so higher level Flurry isn't really needed, and making your cannonball hit extremely hard as a burst nuke is your priority so whoever you're ganking just dies really fast and you can move on to ganking and sitting on other people.
Also, if you're doing the Flick+Cannonball build, go Sol's first; it makes your Cannonball damage skyrocket to insane levels coupled with the negative armor from Flick, because early on your enemies' armor will be going into negative, which means MUCH more damage than normal.
