Buy a bottle should solve all of your mana problems and you can store runes its cheaper and more effective.

Also, why do you right it PuB? Pub = public no need for the capped B you must be thinking of PuG which is pick up group.

OT: Hellflower is viable yes, but not the best choice, runed axe gives you enough mana regen, with good farming capabilities and damage.

Clinkz actually needed mana. Scout does not. Clinkz autoattacking takes 20 mana a hit. Scout takes roughly 30 per 6 seconds.

Hellflower is viable in pubs. Scout already has nigh-infinite mana as it is by the time he can get a Hellflower.

Nullfire suits him far, far better.

The core items for scout would never include hellflower, but its not realy a bad item, cirtanly usefull.
But again, there are alot better items for him realy :)

If you have to, get a Sustainer. Starting from about level 10 or so, you won't lose mana in invis mode.

Hellflower silence gives a 20% bonus damage to any damage done while the silence is active.

Hellflower is a bit overkill. But an arcana orb is quite ok imo, solves your mana problem so you can get a better dps item than runed axe.

Hellflower is a targeted silence that can be used while moving, but Scout's silence requires you to stop, place the eye, trigger it, then continue fighting.

They can't even be compared, they are completely different. This isn't like Magebane getting Portal Key, they are two completely different effects.

But. The fact that the scout will usually be unseen means he can place his silence with such ease that there is no need to have a targetted silence that can be used while moving.

Or at least, for its ~5000 cost, you can have much better items.

Usefull, fun maybe, but not really viable if you want to help your team (hard enough as it is with scout)

Hellflower MIGHT be worth getting if you need an extra silence, and it helps focus people down a lot easier. Your ult should take out almost half their health if they're hellflowered.
