This idea has been in my head for awhile. I figured that I could throw it out there (*cough*to the wolves*cough*) and see what you guys think of it.
*DRAFT*
The Demonologist has spent his life studying the hellbourne demons. But he has also tempered that with study of heaven's angels. In this way he avoided becoming completely corrupted by the hellbourne, or being purified by the angels. He has learned to summon not only demons but angels to his aid and is a skilled fighter. In his left hand he wields a blessed war glaive, and in his right a cursed claymore.

Angelism:


The Demonologist reveals 5/7/10 Angels at random points around random allied heroes within Range. These Angels heal for 200/300/400 damage over 5 seconds each and then dissipate. The Angels are rooted and have 200/300/400HP.

Notes:
Wow. Long range mass summon. It is, however, extremely mana heavy and has a long cooldown.

The Demonologist opens a void in front of himself and one behind his target. He steps through his void and inflicts a double attack with his claymore and war glaive on the target for 2/3/4x his auto-attack damage, then 3 successive attacks for his normal auto-attack damage. The voids then close.

Notes:
This ulti gives the Demonologist a direct-damage skill that can deal massive amounts of damage

Final Words:
Good Int, Good Str, a whopping six pets to choose from and a passive that can increase not only his damage and attack speed but also his parry/evasion and armor! Sounds OP right? The trick is that he cannot, for instance, have a Fairy around to heal him and get an extra bit of damage/attackspeed. Since when he selects Demonology (for the extra damage), the Fairy is killed, that cannot happen.

So then, he basically has two modes: tank and dps. As a tank (Angelism) he has extra parry/evasion and armor, along with a heal pet (and two unfinished others). As a DPSer (Demonology), he has extra damage and attack speed, along with a nuke pet, a root/courier, and a tank/anti-nuker.

Remember though, he is melee (the only melee int to my knowledge is Blacksmith at the moment), so he has to get up close for the damage boost to work!

Final Note: the pets do NOT have inventories, unlike Booboo.

that ulti is ridiculous. insane cast range, magic immunity and 400%+300%+300%+300% dmg?

you realize that's a crazy amount of damage, right? for 300 mana cost, you're doing (considering a base dmg of around 150 at lvl 16) almost 2000 damage to a single target, from super far away, and almost completely safe.

also, it doesn't fit his theme at all. he's a summoner, not a kill-a-hero-instantly-er

I must've messed up my numbers somewhere, because I only got 1,050...ah, I found it. When I calculated the damage, I neglected the 1/2/3x on the consecutive attacks. I'll remove that (it improves it to 1,950 with 150 base damage, whereas without it, it's only 1,050)

Alright, I removed the 1/2/3x and the magic immunity. Theme-wise, it's a bit ambiguous, but if you have a better idea for it I'd be glad to hear it!

I like the idea, lots of variety to the hero and I get the impression Invoker is back :P (<3) although he's obviously not quite the same.
Not sure about all the numbers might need some adjustments..
I hope this makes it somehow.

Thank you! Invoker? I didn't play dota so if it's a pseudo-clone of a dota hero, it's pure coincidence.

The third skill should be evade and exclusive, there is no parry to so speak.

I have some problems with the ULT. More needs to be explained, is it an instant slash, then within a second or so you do 3 more or is it you walk through and you auto attack, nothing is instant and you teleport back after your third attack. If it's instant my problem is that it does 700% damage (probably more like 600% but it does alot) in one instant. This wouldn't be a problem, but he isn't a Tank, just because he has evasion it doesn't mean he can take alot of hits or be concentrated on. He's definitely DPS, and melee doesn't hurt him really as he has pets to do his work. So if he concentrates on DPS and damage that 4x easly hits in the 1000's and the 3 extra attacks will finish off the opponent.

Recommend changing/adjusting the ULT. He's a DPS definitely, even looking at the first two skills there is nothing really that would make him be a tank. The third skill simply adds more DPS or survivability. ULT is disliked for me (besides the numbers) simply because it doesn't really fit imo.

Alright. Sentiment appears to be against the ulti, so I'll change it.

It would not be instant. It would have a rather long (2-3s) animation of him opening the voids and stepping through before attacking. It should probably have a 'channel' during that time to make clear that if you get into the fog during the animation it cancels the attack and goes to cd.

You can only have one angel/demon summoned at once. Switching from Angelism to Demonology or visa versa unsummons any summoned angels/demons.

They have a 10 second channel.
