I suggest adding a different color for people on your clan/buddy list who are currently mentoring or spectating someone else.

This will help avoid confusion as to who you can spectate and mentor and will allow you to quickly tell who's doing what.

Sounds useful enough, so you can easily tell who is just killing time or whatever and ask them if they want to play a match without viewing each person individually.
