The second half of the HoN League semi-finals are here and in this match we're going to see two amazing teams battle it out for a chance in the finals. The Swedish team Clan Clan (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=4) will be taking on the American team FiVe (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=47) in what is going to be the most amazing game so far in this tournament. Both teams have already proven they have the skill and the desire to be the best and this match will take one of them another step closer to claiming that title.
Clan Clan (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=4) has a roster full of professional and ex-professional DotA players such as Loda the leader of Fnatic.DotA, Akke previously of Sk-Gaming, and MrBarbaraQ formerly of Team Q. They've managed to defeat Standards (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=149), one piece of **** (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=53), Transcendence (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=28), and most recently We Are Ownage (http://honleague.com/competitions.php?do=viewteam&id=62) so far proving themselves in their quest to climb to the top.

5 > CC 2-0 * close games though, no quick concedes.
testie really strengthened their lineup, not in the fact that they just picked up a good player but he meshes really well with their already solid team work. imo they needed that player that was a pure carry type of guy and he fits the bill real well.
5 also had a harder path to where they are now, pubtrash collectors had some noticeable names in daggius, rider, and kanadian. dxd'ers that have some sorta of reputation. CGF has played I think every hon tourney so far so theyve got some experience, and then FFS which imo they only lost 1 game because of jereziah and they seemed so outpicked in the 3rd game but came out with the 25min stomp.

Clan Clan > 5; 2-0 IMO.
My clan scrimmed against 5, and either they weren't trying or weren't very impressive. We lost, of course, but hey... my team's new. :P

Five is very good, and Clan Clan has a lot of synergy.
It will be a a good match, I can't even predict the winner in all honesty.

Thanks for casting. Just a little tip, try not to talk so much and explain every little detail. You miss so many ganks by talking about minor details like ward placement and creep score/farming when it's extremely obvious by glancing at the minimap and hero movement where a gank is going to happen.

Much better cast than the ones before Sinister imo, you shouldn't blame yourself too much for missing kills(at least not every single time it happens), you miss a few, but it's not as bad as it used to be and missing a few kills now and then will happen to everyone I think. Video quality is good, comments are pretty good too you seem to know items better than before(just the predator item check at some point, boots+punchdagger is enhanced marchers it's pretty obvious ^^).

I'd say yes, 400 range for his puppetshow was pretty crazy considering how fragile a hero he is. But maybe its just because he can crit +1000 in an aoe, depends how you see it.:rolleyes:

Game 2 is in the hands of StRiDaH. He casted it, so it's up to him. I already deleted all the content I had for it due to the fact I absolutely FAILED to cast it correctly. My effort was absolutely terrible.
Anyway, up to Chapy now. If I'm there for the 3rd game I'll be open to cast/record/upload it for you all... hopefully.

I like the casters because just watching a HON game would be boring as hell. Although I have to agree some shoutcasters are WAY better than others who annoy me.

I think we could use some more ideas when it comes to how tournaments handle match scheduling. The ESL's recent tournament has matches two days a week during the same times, always, a dream come true for shoutcasters, and players too i'd imagine.
The only question that remains is what time zones should they be scheduled around, and seeing how the states is probably the only place still not represented by some form of league/tournament, and seeing as how honleague's 'league time' is us east, I think they should.
Anyhow, good luck to both teams today, sorry I will be missing it. :(

I find it amusing that Clan Clan had 3 of the heroes five had in game 1, and dominated. Coincidence? But not really, if you watch the game it's almost like they switched places completely. Clan Clan had the map movement, awesome TPs and ganks in game 2, interesting how different each team can look in different games.

It was also the lanes.
I mean seriously: Magmus + Pyro is amazingly strong. Not much you can do about it. And Demented + Sand also cant do **** against plague and pesti.
And I laughed so hard, when 5 tried to gank btm and they could have gotten two kills easily, but somehow they all run away and Clan Clan were able escape. I honestly think that Soulstealer was a not a good pick or lets say, the pick got countered by pyro + magmus mid and puppet solo :D

Yeah blumpster, noticed the same thing, will be waiting eagerly to see game 3 picks... Imo especially plague is very dominating atm. The ulti just wrecks teams early-mid and laning against him is horrible.

Well Loda rushed bottle and lost the runes, it's really hard to runewhore against Succubus because of Mezmerize, so he basically lost the first 2 runes, then he was outlvled due to better harass since he had no mana. Maliken solo is good when you can spam that sword throw, it's a bit like madman stalk harass in mid, only that madman can get the runes almost everytime due to stalk invis+speed, maliken not so much since sword throw blink is relatively slow.
Anyway first game was really one sided, 2nd game was a bit more even but Clan_Clan had a lot more farm and ganked the carries early. Bit sad when Sand Wraith 40mins in still only have boots and vanguard ^^. Wanna see 3rd hopefully someone will fraps it at least then stridah can do the cast later or whatever, I'll settle for a non shoutcasted direct stream though, just need a delay on it(so not xfire).

Nice second game, my thanks! Very educational also for those that don't yet know the finer details from this game I would assume and also an entertaining watch for everyone. Good speculation on many situations and commenting again from Sridah(!).

I was surprised, but hey - even Pro's do mistakes, altough that was a very big one.

b) Judging abuse (if there is any)

Didnt sound offending, and I hope my comment neither.
I agree that HoN is a Dota clone, but yes it does matter A LOT because Loda, the main player of CC most people would say, never gets to scrim in HoN with his team (at least he doesnt do it often). So they end up lacking the practice and the teamwork they should have.
Pretty sure a lot of people will agree that if all of these players were only playing HoN and scrimming A LOT, they would rape the HoN scene.
Edit : Since I cant watch, looking for an update on picks and bans PLZ :)

We had over 150 people watching the livestream last time. It definitely needs some work, but you should tell your IT staff to install silverlight, it's pretty standard for video streaming now. Video conferences, online training, and even online dating sites use it. Your boss will be proud.

Awesomely played by both team! I was like "Oh, hey, wtf O.o" when the finish screen came up, just like Stridah (Chapy just ain't as cool). Won't spoil the results, but the match was a really great one, hoping to see another one just as good when the winner goes up against WHP.

I was a bit amused when the cameraman was looking hard for the Ancients. :D
All in all, he did a good job with the late game though. :)
