Supposed visual: A translucent, airy, medium-built humanoid with a big axe as its weapon.
Supposed sounds: A bit of a whoosh as he attacks. Crunched underbrush as he walks. A bit of a hollow voice because he really doesn't have any vocal cords to start with.

Story: Corruption knows no boundaries, and this has been proven further by the Hellbourne's influence over the wind elemental's emissary to the Legion. Using the vilest of magic available, they have successfully drained the being's will and made it a killing machine of their own. Using it's innate powers, the Windreaver can ripple out a wave of wind, hasten his allies, or, as the most dreaded of its abilities, with the whirl of its giant axe, pull towards it all its foes to their doom.

The Windreaver lets loose a slash of wind that ripples violently against enemies in front of him.
Level 1 - 75 damage.
Level 2 - 145 damage.
Level 3 - 210 damage.
Level 4 - 285 damage.
Visual: Kind of like QoP's old wave graphic, only smaller.
2nd: Gust

The Windreaver forces the winds around a target unit to spin really fast, damaging nearby enemy units around it. Costs 60/80/100/120 mana. Dark Seer's Ion Shell. Can be casted on allies, neutrals, and enemies. As per the spell, it doesn't damage a targeted enemy unit, just those around it. Damage dealt doesn't stack per casting on a single unit as per the latest DotA version (I.E. The Windreaver casts Gust on himself again even if his previous cast is still in effect, it won't double the damage but will refreshen the duration) (I.E. The Windreaver has Gust on himself then casts it on another unit, enemies now will take Gust damage x2).
Level 1 - 30 damage per second for 15 seconds.
Level 2 - 45 damage per second for 15 seconds.
Level 3 - 60 damage per second for 15 seconds.
Level 4 - 75 damage per second for 15 seconds.
Cooldown: 7 seconds
Visual: A barrier of wind encircling the target.
3rd: Wind Attunement

The Windreaver commands the wind to carry him or an ally, greatly increasing their movement speed. Costs 20/30/40/50 mana. Dark Seer's Surge.
Level 1 - Max movement speed for 4 seconds.
Level 2 - Max movement speed for 5 seconds.
Level 3 - Max movement speed for 6 seconds.
Level 4 - Max movement speed for 7 seconds.
Cooldown: 13/12/11/10 seconds.
Visual: Noticeable dust appearing when the target is running. A 'whoosh' sound is played when casted.
4th: Vacuum

A powerful whirl from the Windreaver's axe fiercely pulls the wind around him, dragging all enemies near him, stunning them and causing the Winded status. Magnataur's Reverse Polarity with an added effect and with a slightly longer cooldown.
Level 1 - Stuns for 2 seconds. Does 150 damage. Applies Wind Shred for 3 seconds.
Level 2 - Stuns for 3 seconds. Does 225 damage. Applies Wind Shred for 4 seconds.
Level 3 - Stuns for 4 seconds. Does 300 damage. Applies Wind Shred for 5 seconds.
Visual: Winds being sucked towards the Windreaver then immediately and quickly going away.
Wind Shred:
Lowers armor value by 4/5/6.
Cooldown: 125/115/105 seconds

v2:For those who want DS' Vacuum. Role is semi-initiator and support.
1st. Wind Current (area target)
The Windreaver changes the wind flow in an area to pull enemies towards the target. AoE and damage increases per level.
Level 1 - 60 Damage. 300 AOE.
Level 2 - 120 Damage. 400 AOE.
Level 3 - 180 Damage. 500 AOE.
Level 4 - 240 Damage. 600 AOE.
Cooldown: 16 seconds.
Manacost: 100/130/160/190
2nd: Sharp Winds (allied unit target)
Enchants the allied target's weapon with slicing winds to deal additional damage.
Level 1 - 15% damage increase. Lasts 10 seconds.
Level 2 - 30% damage increase. Lasts 20 seconds.
Level 3 - 45% damage increase. Lasts 30 seconds.
Level 4 - 60% damage increase. Lasts 40 seconds.
Wind Break:
Gives a 15/20/25/40% chance to deal a 300 AoE attack that does 50% splash.

Cooldown: 12
3rd: Convulsive Current (kudos to those who know where the skill name come from and the skill effect itself)
The Windreaver disappears from his target location, just to appear in another nearby spot, dealing damage in an area around him. If a hero is near the range, there is a 60% chance that the Windreaver will appear beside it. A risky skill to use for escape. You either appear away from a gank or go near it.
Level 1 - 550 AoE. 100 damage around 200 AoE.
Level 2 - 600 AoE. 175 damage around 200 AoE.
Level 3 - 700 AoE. 250 damage around 200 AoE.
Level 4 - 850 Aoe. 325 damage around 200 AoE.
Cooldown: 20/16/12/8
4th: Wind's Shadow
The Windreaver corrupts a line of wind flow, allowing shades to form when an allied hero passes through it. Shades receives 200% damage and deals 60%.
Level 1 - Lasts 15 seconds.
Level 2 - Lasts 30 seconds.
Level 3 - Lasts 45 seconds.
Cooldown: 100
Mana Cost: 200/300/400
Cast Range: 500/900/1300

you can put a pole yourself....there is a "thread options" button. click it and add a pole.
I'd have to state that the hero does have good synergy, makes a good support but i would still vote no. why?
you took away Vacuum from Dark Seer.... and that was his wicked sick farming, harrasing and very synergic skill with the Gust.
Magnus's ulti, yea great idea, fits the theme greatly. I like it very much, but would still try to keep vacuum instead of shockwave.

Nice, I like how to merged both heroes. Used to love magnus and I really miss him.
Only suggestion: 3 seconds of disarm after 4 seconds of stun is way too much imo, maybe 2 seconds only?

Vacuum got absorbed by the ulti, that was a GREAT idea.
This hero (for mine) is fantastic.
4 castables is a bit scary (he'll be insanely restricted by mana) but he'd still be fun to play :)

7 seconds of max speed sounds extremely overpowered, at every point in the game, restricting it to 5-5.5 would be good, also CD needs to be doubled to remain balanced.(having max speed with 2.5 seconds cast time between them is too much)
I loved magnus in DoTA and this seer/mag hybrid looks interesting, though it might lead to him being way overpowered if he is implemented like this, Magnus is a really good harasser early, since shockwave takes little mana and does good damage, low cd, which means almost all forms of (early) regeneration will fail vs his constant nuking.
His strenght gain seems rather weak, so I guess people will be piling +HP items until mid game.

Wind Attunement is a carbon copy of Surge. IceFrog didn't see it imbalanced. The DotA community didn't see it was imbalanced. Hence, I didn't see it imbalanced but if others say that it is, then I'll change it.

Not sure I agree with the slow in skill 1. You could just bump his ms speed to 310, but, he already has purge and doesn't really need a slow. Just keep it as a "low cost and cooldown" nuke.
Skills 2 and 3 are ports so not much to say.
Ult - not sure if the long stun and disarm is OP, but considering he is int instead of STR, you might want it to do something else. Like debuff them during stun or something.

Great job dude! all the skills seem to complement each other quite well.
I have but one complain about your hero. The slow in his first skill seems unnecessary considering you have max move speed (3rd skill) not to mention a seriously powerful disable.

What I liked most about Ishkafel was his vacuum, having two vacuums on one hero would be a bit much i suppose, so my question is if the Vacuum on Windreaver has the aoe of Magnus Reverse Polarity?

looks great. The gust seems fair, the damage isn't too high for such a short cooldown, and when the damage gets good the mana cost offsets it.
The max movespeed might be excessive, but as long as you can slow those effected it would be fine. (so it isn't like tab of haste where it is 522 no matter what) The cooldown could be longer, one hero at 522 with only a 1.5sec downtime.

2.Skill: Since you wrote it's a channeling spell, this will be a rather uneffective one. Since it doesn't even disable your target, you'll be wide open for enemy attacks and skills. You should either not make it a channeling spell or give it some extra effects.
3.Skill: Very simple skill, which could take some synergy with the rest of your skills. While skill 2 hinders you from moving at all, this one makes you move at maximum speed.
4.Skill: Sorry if I misunderstood this skill but issn't that just Tempests ultimate with a little change in numbers?
Overall it looks like a pretty nice hero, it has some potential if you work on it but there are pretty many flaws yet to vote T-Up. I'll hold my vote for now and leave it for after i fully understand this hero. :)

Just wanted to say skill 2 he said channeling but he was just using it as a descriptive word. The spell would work like Accursed fire shield ,except it does DPS to nearby units for the duration. Skill 4 is sort of like tempests except it is not channeling, its instant

I like the hero, but I am confused by the ulti, how long does it pull units in? Is it instant like Magnataur or does it take a few seconds like tempest with a stun at the end?

Instant. As in, blink in then BANG! 4 seconds of stun with 5 seconds of shredded armor. In terms of magic immunities, it only blocks the damage and stun, but not the pull.

And stop the AOA splash already coz the HoN already got many heroes that has splash on attack and considering the new hero death caller im already sick of heroes based on necromancy now we have two summoning heroes soon the forsaken and the deathcaller

What's the deal with the Axe? We have plenty of axe users it seems and not very many Sword users. Just a general rant lol.
Didn't describe the 1st ability well, never played DoTa. No comment as of yet.
Really like the 2nt ability, I've been waiting for an effect-everything-except-target AoE suggestion.
3rd ability:
Umm... no. OP, especially at that cooldown. Would require a HUGE manacost to have a haste run every 9 seconds for 7 seconds.

Don't know why most say that a direct port of a hero's skill in DotA is OP. Really, I don't. And to tell the truth, it's pointless to balance it in the post since this is just a draft. It's really the S2 team that makes the final adjustments.
And who else uses an axe? Only ones I can think of are Chronos and Warbeast.

Hmm.. I like it:
Wind Gash: Seems like a huge upgrade to Magnus' Shockwave, spammable ranged AoE nuke, just missing the range and width of the spell. Missing the mana cost too..
Gust and Wind Attunement: Nothing I see wrong with these two, Gust is a direct copy of its DotA copy (no longer "stacks" on the same target, refreshes the duration). Wind Attunement is a slightly nerfed Surge lasts longer at early levels but less during higher levels (by 0.5 seconds).
Vacuum: Shorter stun, armor reduction, but 5 seconds longer for cooldown. I'm guessing its range is 410 units and costs 200/250/300 mana.
Pretty good I'd say, T-up from me xd Though, I personally think the Ult could use a rename xd.

very cool idea just few days ago my friends and i was wondering if mags or seer would be implemented and i agreed his vaccum and shield where the fastest and cheapest way to farm. but ppl need to realise this is not dota and your entitled to change the moves up.. great idea for his lvl 6 since u needed to merge mags with him... .agreed on slow should not be merged with his 1st move since u got the enhanced ms move that would be total rape and no getting away esp if your standard buff time would be 7 sec. and with a vaccum ulti sigh...

I like version one except that I would really like DS Vacuum and not Reverse Polarity, It could still be the ult because with low cooldown it would be very good. Version 2 just doesn't fit, it seems to be combining too many things and missing out on the original heroes too much (I really miss Ion Shell in version 2).

Okay.. so i was skimming through the posts and what im saying may or may not even been changed to the hero... but people want DS's vacuum from dota to be implemented onto this hero, as well as magnus's ultimate... i say id have to comepletely disagree with that, holding a group of heros around you kind of like temp without having to channel or disable urself could be bad... and to be able to ult and bring them back to u with the vacuuum with all of them scattering away could cause great havoc... so i think his vacuum shouldnt be added as a second skill.. and again i dont know if u implented or didnt implement it cuz its the first time reading all of these posts and my eyes began to hurt and i just skipped some so sorry for that :)

First version had Shockwave, Surge, Ion Shell, and Reverse Polarity.
Second version has Vacuum, Empower(with cleave), a skill, and Wall of Illusion.

Dont say it 'channels', i know what u meant, but this sounds like your channeling a shield around them, which ion shell certainly did not do

Definitely stick with first version....the ultimate with ionshell with be the best, and being able to run with some1 on while having surge is great + adding shockwave to any of those battles with help add to the destruction,and wall of illusion for the second hero ehh, that could be used for other reasons with a different hero, but that is just my opinion
