I get 300+ on USW with 100/100mb from Sweden so the extremely fast internet at Dreamhack probably gives you a false impression Jabba, good luck in the tournament and keep the big plays up!

I'm in Germany too and get 137 to the best USW Server and 241 to the worst.

Best USE is 106, worst 142.

Best AUS 344.

Im about 200 to USW, but it spikes with +100 constantly. Don't know if its the USW servers that just suck or its the LAN-cable between NY and CA that screws us over, but USE is far, far more stable and you get used to the higher ping fast.

USE is basically just like playing Dota.

With respect to DHs internet, we tried out USW servers at gamesheaven in Jonkoping central and the ping to USW was at best 150ms.

That shouldn't really increase/decrease travel time, which is what ping basically is.

Basically, ping gets lower the more "direct" your connection to your ISP, and further the USW/USE servers is.

You seem to forget that the internet speed is limited. Like, I have the same internet connection here as at home because there are so many computers sharing the network here. At least when I did a speedtest, I got like 14mb download speed.

Speed of connection =/= ping of connection.

I went from a sync of 1.3mbps to 7mbps and the pings the same.

The best pings I consistently get to USW are usually around 250ms, no matter if I got a 1.3mbps connection or 7mbps connection.

So why not make it fair when Australian teams vs Europe teams and make them always play on USW!

Dreamhack is directly connected to some major gateway in stockholm. If you connect via some random jönköping connection your ping will be much higher.
Doesn't matter how much your bandwith is or where you're located - the number of gateways between you and the server is making the difference. Imagine a direct fibre connection to USW servercluster you might have a low double digit ping anywhere you play.

We have told you that the ping is LOWER than DH at an internet cafe in Jonkoping Central (That is not DreamHack( - USW = 150ms in EU :P 250ms in AU
