Are you in the midwest? Yes? GREAT!

LAN War XVII is coming up on the beautiful campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The event takes place on the weekend of November 14, and lasts roughly 24 hours. The Computer Gaming Club @ IU has been hosting these events for eight years now, and, as of last fall and spring, the LAN War has become the biggest, most well-sponsored LAN in the state.

We will be hosting four tournaments, two of which are sponsored (Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends), and two of which are voted upon by registrants on our site. The event starts at 12pm Saturday and goes to 10AM or later on Sunday. $15 buys you admission to this great event, which grants you a raffle ticket for regular drawings, a personalized badge, dinner, and drinks throughout the event (Monster Energy and soft drinks with dinner).

To prove that we're the real deal, I can tell you that we have people driving 6, 8, and 12 hours to make it to this event, and S2 Games (the studio behind Heroes of Newerth) is sending a pro player and one of their devs to chat up the game!

I highly encourage you to check out this great event and see why the CGC@IU LAN War is the best LAN in the state!

Hehe, sorry!

@mordentral, It's well worth the 20 minute drive! I usually drive about an hour down there for it and the 15 dollars is well worth it if just for the pizza and energy drinks! All the awesome prizes, fun gaming, and tournaments are just a bonus!
