Alt Avatar Contest #2 Results!

Update: After a long and arduous battle, Father Time Chronos reigned supreme! Garnering nearly a third of the vote, the fortunate [Sav2]AVX is going to notice a hefty sum of 1000 gold coins added to his pocket and a complimentary copy of the prize winning alt added is headed his way when the hero is released.

The runners up of the contest, Blannan for Fallen Angel Valkyrie and Dominar for Kangamonium Pandamonium, will notice gold coin deposits of 500 and 250 gold coins respectively in their accounts very soon.


It goes without saying that our most recent alt avatar contest was a massive success. We had hoped the community would answer the call and were delighted to see so many passionate HoN players that wanted to see their own work make it into the game. There were so many suggestions in fact that after much deliberation, screaming, and trash talking in the office, we almost couldn't come to a consensus over who would make the cut and who would live to fight another day on the hero concept battlefield.

In the end however, we had to condense thousands of submissions into a mere 5 for voting purposes. There were plenty of great ideas, including a few that we had already been working on internally for months. Keep in mind that just because you don't see your idea in the running to win, that doesn't mean you wont see it in the game in the near future.

Granted i'd say a good 70% of submissions were ripped from other games/films meaning they cant be used unless they get permission (not likely) but still - this list is quite possibly the most amazing list of trash i've ever seen. If this minimal crap effort is all thats required from the community for S2 to steal an idea then no wonder most of the recent skins have been trash.

Basically what i thought.
Not bad ideas but just very boring and most were unoriginal and have heard loads of times being suggested - Brophelia, Angel Martyr, Fallen Valk ( Or any other "This hero but hellbourne ideas" ), ( Panda one is ok and Chronos one is ok i guess but still makes it 2 choices out of 5 potential ideas)
