So...after a few (well actually like 10 years) of piano experience i've moved on to doing some singing. I really enjoy covering anime songs at anime conventions so now i'm looking for some recording fun at home, but i've got no idea where to start looking. Hopefully a mic that can record piano, guitar and voice nicely will do the trick, and as of yet i haven't set out a specific budget but hopefully something "affordable" to the average person.
Thanks in advance :D

When i posted this i thought you would say something like that...
Even if i did use bitcoins to buy a mic, i'd need some advice on which brands and quality because i have no idea how i'm going about this.

Get a decent condenser mic. I've got a vintage style AT4033 which has never let me down. http://www.vintageking.com/Audio-Technica-4033 That may be out of your expected price range, but I've really never needed another mic for anything music related.Your audio interface is also very important, if you're plugging a $3,000 mic into a shitty sound card, it's not going to sound good. There are a lot of cheap usb or firewire audio interfaces, just look for one with a well reviewed pre-amp. M-audio makes some decent interfaces, but I'd do some price comparing and research into what would work best for your budget.
