I just recently got Maliken and I would like to know which items I should really aim for, I think :ShrunkenHead: is a big one and also :Insanitarius:. Also, any techniques do I need to do, which level can I gank, how long should I farm etc. Basically a whole layout of what a Maliken should do really.

Thanks

I play him as such:
Last hit with my second skill, (the damage amplifier), heal a bit when I'm harassed.
Use sword throw both defensive and offensive, go for Blood Chalice.
Get a Whispering helm, dominate a King Skeleton, and get it over to the ancients, to start your tripple stacking.

Insanitaurus is not all that great in my opinion on him, if you can get it early enough without delaying your core it's fine though.

Your core is
Steamboots, Whispering, Shrunken.

DiVa's guide is pretty good, come back with questions after you've read it. http://www.heroesofnewerth.com/heroesguide_view.php?gid=49

What's the point in using another creep for stacking? Can't you stack them by yourself?

You can be farming other neutrals/creeps while he's stacking.

:Steamboots::WhisperingHelm::Insanitarius::Shrunke nHead::Riftshards:

Is all you need. Insanitarius gives you a nice attackspeed and damage boost early and midgame. It's also awesome for the bonus health it gives you when you pop it (learn to use it. Might save your life!). It's great when your tanking aswell.

Pretty much everything has been said already, Core are steamboots shrunken whispering (helps a lot with the stacking and later on to get a wolf for +30% base or an ogre for the armor). Insanitarus is a good item, but tend to delay the shrunken, so as you want. After that I prefer riftshards as you have an innate AS boost, but demonic is good, so is symbol.

As for replays, N0tail plays him pretty consistently, and nearly the only one to play him at the moment. Can't think of any other pro player at the moment.

The point is that you can dominate a creep and send it to your ancient's camp to just stay near it. You keep farming your Maliken as usual, and if you see that it's the 45-50th second, you hide somewhere near tower, quickly switch to the dominated creep and stack the ancients at 54 minute mark. When the creeps are triple stacked, you can go there with Maliken and annihilate them - port into the group with sword throw, use insanitarius and ultimate (for splash dmg) and just tear them apart. Switch to green sword if they hit u badly. This gives you a lot of gold in a blink of an eye, while you don't have to waste your normal farming time to go and stack them yourself. If used efficiently and no one is interrupting (nothing worse than a random torturer from your team coming and destroying ur triple stacked ancients) this can increase your gold per minute significantly.

Preferably, start autoing a jungle camp while you stack. The whole point is to be able to stack without stopping your farm.
