Does practice mode work and will it record stats?

i just wanna practice on some heroes but i dont want it to affect my record.

It's practice mode, so no it won't affect your stats. Also, you can only 'Practice' by yourself at the moment.

so will i be playing agianst a computer? or just by myself?

As above said, practice mode only works with your own self, so you can not practice against other players, and it will not record stats.

Edit: You spawn hero that you may fight against. The mode is really only used to see hero skills and item builds ect.

Just try it, its pretty self explanatory once you get in game. It will not record stats.

You're supposed to actually close it when you say that.

To recap: Yes practice mode works, no it does not record stats. It allows you to spawn any unit or item you like, and play any hero.
