well i guess everyone has their own item taste, the dmg that you lose for every hit you do with the aura + the dmg you lose from using armlet is to much, and take into account that you will also take hell of a nuke from the other team which makes it way to much dmg in the end

his ult gives him cleave on ranged attacks not bfury... bfury is only good for the damage and splash in melee form. Instantarius is a better item for teamfights. However, Bfury allows him to farm at twice the normal rate, getting him to his heart much faster.

thats my point, if you can get some freefarm / space then bfury is not a wrong idea as it gives you a certain dmg which is decent, not great but its fine, mana/hp regen and the ability to farm twice as fast as you would with insanitarus

yes it is better but xfire has no option for you to adjust it afaik and since e-rev couldnt stream this or shoutcast it, and since i know FFS from the past me and my mate offered to stream it on xfire as we wanted to watch it ourself and offered the same to the public. Ok so Jereziah bans do make sense, every big fight, fire off ulti, laugh as maliken and bloodhunter do 0dmg while they're being trashed. Didn't help I guess that their DPS were mostly melees, and Repel reflecting 1 or 2 bounces off lich's ulti didn't help either. Probably could have used a caster in that lineup to actually manage to kill people, and funny to see jereziah outcarrying madman(madman had what, 2bracers boots bottle at the end, jere mock of brilliance+frostwolf skull+boots of travel).

Anyway good videos, no moving around randomly making me sick, most of the time caught the action, can't pickup everything all the time but I felt like I saw most of the fights, and the camera was well centered/following well. Quality was pretty ok for a stream, and I haven't had lag issues(very small spikes 2 or 3 times but nothing major). Imo one of the best if not the best video of HoN matches to date(not taking into account commentaries obviously).

As we followers of competitive HoN have seen before, Blavo is wreaking havoc on FFS. The skill of this guy is just insane. His arrows are spot on time after time. WOW.

Not to mention Blavo is one of the only players on team 5 that plays a skill hero. Pestilence? Easy. Arachna? Please. Plaguebringer? LOL. Hammerstorm? A SINGLE TARGET AOE STUN? Pfft.

To play a good Valk that ganks EVERY lane virtually turning the tide of the game by himself, that takes some cajones. Blavo, you are the leader of the pack when it comes to HoN. Respect. You are the pride of Peruvian competitive DoTA.

That certainly was brutal and quick. Five set the tone from the first minute of the game with the very near bloodlust on top, which eventually happened a little time afterwards.

sadly there was no commentary of any sort and the notice was a bit **** as i got in touch with FreshFriFly 5mins before the game started and asked if there was a stream, sadly e-rev couldnt do it so my mate slashi offered to stream it on xfire and we both got to enjoy all 3 games. In the future if there are any games that wont be streamed and would like to have it streamed feel free to ask, as i do think that slashi knows what his doing with his camera and usually gets every battle going around or any "superb" moves that gets done by the players

What exactly is a "top" ban for 1 game? What makes one ban "bannier" than another ban? I don't think anyone was banned twice in the same game or anything... :)


There are many reasons to ban a hero, "must-pick" is only one of them. I guarantee that FFS didn't just "forget" to pick the hero they banned twice.

pharaoh was still available and if you are good with his ulti, you can interrupt tempest even through BKB, tempest feels to be a bit overrated atm seeing as how many ultis can interrupt him if pld properly

There are a ton of heroes that have the long range necessary to interrupt his ult. If his ult is consistently interrupted, he is a bad, bad waste of a pick.

But even that aside, Tempest is not a versatile or well-rounded hero. He is a marvelous choke-point battle hero and useless in every other situation. So, some teams feel that this meshes with their playstyle, and other teams don't.

He can push lanes very hard, and with a fast push team he's pretty nice. Seen some dota teams use that, with like rhasta, syla, warlock, enigma etc. That said it seems enigma isn't used all that often anymore in dota(nor is he banned). See trn vs clanclan match, while tempest lands a couple of good ultis early in the game, the rest of the game he basically just blink>stun people, and destroy towers with elementals. They also have Wildsoul, and they push towers fast and hard.

I've played against [5] with my team of complete amateurs twice (No DotA experience), is this in any way normal? My experience of competetive games is that the top teams are pretty much out of reach except for invite IRC channels. I'm guessing its because its beta.

Also, in case you were wondering, we did get our faces smashed in for about -1 PSR. Pretty sure we scored some kills though xd
