View Full Version : Laneing partner auto attacking

How is the best way to handle this? Out of every 5 games in 3 I have a laneing partner that starts pushing the lane right from the start, and not one of them has stopped doing it when I asked nicely.
Any suggestions on what I should do if I get such a laneing partner?
Should I just do my best to deny and last hit, and stay in our side of the river letting him die when he goes past?

Ugh, it's the most frustrating thing in the world. All you can do is ask them to stop and, failing that, exploit it by getting every last-hit from them. That should eventually teach them to stop.

If you want to try to stop a push and you are in your short-lane (i.e. Top for Hellborne and Bot for Legion), you can pull the creep camp nearest to the lane at either XX:15 or XX:45 on the clock in order to slow your wave down.

ask them to stop autoattacking a few times
if they dont listen then just treat them like a big creep

Or deny them when they're running away in a fight :D

Tell them, that its saver to fight near the tower and by killing all creeps you'll come closer to the enemy tower, what is far more dangerous.
If they still attack, stay at your tower and give your enemies a god opportunity to kill him. After that, you can give him the same speach as bevore, hopefully with more success.

Try and ask them to stop if this fails, take advantage of it and last hit like no tomorrow. If you manage to get a good amount of income as a carry hero I would suggest, buying a hungry spirit (10% lifesteal) and going into the jungle if it is that hard to lane with your partner. If you are not a carry or someone who can solo the jungle well, just keep laned with him, or roam and gank a lot.

Hope this helped

I'll sometimes start trying to deny my own creeps once they reach half health, instead of just moving around, oftentimes getting 2-3 hits in. I still last hit and deny, but this makes my creeps die faster to try to mitigate some of the pushing.

Or deny them when they're running away in a fight :D

Try and learn the game before you help others with miss info, you can only deny an allied hero if he has posion or similar debuffs on him.

Also, just train on last hitting it will eventually get easy and the hero will be just like a mob hitting. Try and calculate the dmg to the mob so you can hit the right moment, also just click attack on the enemy hero to pull the enemy creeps on the other side of your own mobs, this way its more safe to last hit. Atleast if your melee.

Try telling them why they shouldn't last hit the creeps.

Yeh, if you tell them nicely and explain what autoattacking does you can last-hit all the creeps and watch him feed late-game due to no farming. After all, you did tell them nicely.

If they don't understand what "last hitting" means, they probably will not realize that they are being "punished" by you :/

Creep pull and push hard till you get the enemy tower down then go ganking
