Custom skins selectable

Hey guys! I'm sorry to trouble but I'm really new to HoN MODS, didn't like them at first but now that I found out how useful they were, I just can't get enough

I downloaded some of the custom hero textures and skins some users have uploaded, such as Hellfire Corrupted from Warchamp7 and I really love it, however I'd like to switch back to CD's normal skin every now and then without deleting the files, so I was wondering if a MOD could fix this, you guys have accomplished such great things, think someone can do this one? What i'm looking for is a MOD that lets u select your custom texture in the selection screen, as if it were an alt avatar. Thanks a lot.

Well darn it, you beat me to it. I just went through all, ALL 13 pages of custom textures and the like to get a bunch, and I was think the EXACT same thing and came here to make this exact thread.

So I completely agree, I have never made a .honmod myself, and am only a small developer for my place of occupation so I wouldn't be able to help, but I would be willing to give suggestions and opinons to anyone that is willing to take it on :D


Saying the alt avatars are stored along with the standard avatars and the way the alt avatars is almost folder based(aka if there is only a standard skin display only 1 portrait, and if there is 2 skins display in 2 separate portraits), manipulating that could possibly get it to work. I've never messed with or seen HoN code so I don't know, but from what I know that is my best guess.

Also, I will officially love whoever comes out with this, forever and ever.
