Hello!

There seems to be lots of issues with certain microphones and headsets in HoN. Myself included.. unfortunately.

I'm using a Roccat Kave headset which works just fine in any other game/application (skype, msn, other games etc.) but not in HoN.

Drivers are updated, windows not permitted to change microphone volumes, disabled mods and such. When testing mic, HoN can pick up a minimal voice which can't be heard by other players. A fun fact: HoN doesn't allow me to uncheck "Mic boost" nor change Microphone volume. Don't know if it has anything to do with the issue anyways..

I'm really at loss here. Help would be appreciated.

Submitted my console log.

I'm not sure if it will make a difference, but can you change those settings if you run the game as administrator?

Tried it, nothing new unfortunately.

I wonder why HoN has these issues but other games/apps work well.. very weird.

Heroes of Newerth uses the FMOD library, the other games most likely don't.

What would be interesting would be testing a different game that also uses FMOD.

Do you own any games on this list? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FMOD#Games_using_FMOD

I own only Bioshock 2 and Plants vs Zombies of those but have no idea how to use their FMOD libraries..

Just.. how? :pebb:

I mean, do either of them access your microphone? If the games have a voice chat system or similar, you could test that. That's what I meant.

Can't test either one (no support for voice chat seems?)

To be honest, I think that it should be you guys doing this testing, not the customers providing unreliable feedback. :)
