Sorry about the lack of uploading the shoutcast, but it appears Gamestah has a strange form of video streaming that I can't use with the tools that I used. I'll have the casts up on YouTube probably by tonight. I had a busy night last night recruiting for ZR, so I couldn't really do much for the casting...

Pretty sure the good ole outdated winzip and all the new programs doing the same thing can split files easily(from back when you had to split stuff into 1.44mb files so they could fit on floppy disks ^^). That said, making them into zips would obviously force you to upload them to a non streaming site like filefront or whatever.
You could have split them before encoding(probably too late for that though) on whatever program you're using, into 9:30fragments so youtube wouldn't be annoying about it.
I'm currently sending them to Stridah. He should be able to put them where they need to be.

Thank god! I didn't wanna watch my crappy Magmus in game two.
They are now in the hands of StRiDaH. I'm not sure if he just left his computer running to allow me to send him the files, but they're smack on his desktop. I just hope he has a clean one so he'll be able to find it!
Anyway, sorry about the huge delay. I'm new to this as you probably all know, so it's to be expected that I suck at basically every corner. :(

sinister, what resolution did you render the video at, I need to re-render it as an .avi apparently since your .wmv doesn't play on the site that I uploaded it to.
It was 1024x800 I think, and at 1 MBPS for the video codec or w/e.
I don't know man, do what you can with it. I'll save it as an .avi next time.

The wmv that got sent over claims it's 640x480 - if you're recording at 1024x800 you might wanna double check your settings. Looking forward to more casts - oh, and the vent button being off :P

Just for your information, you can get a director's account on youtube and do movie length clips.

Cast was, well, not very good. Missing so many kills, then the camera got so erratic in mid-late game that it was painful to watch. Team fights were covered horribly.
* pay more attention to the minimap - this will give advance que to incoming ganks
* dont jump the camera around erratically showing no action. I understand doing it alone you couldn't get the info any other way, but better stay focused on action and don't go into fairly irrelevant info unless the action takes you there (like tower hp when nothing is around).
* slower camera movement would help too. Maybe use cursor keys once you get to the action for smoother scrolling, instead of minimap dragging.

Sorry about the vent button... it was the only way to check when my mic was working and when it wasn't. I basically was muted for an entire cast because my mic sucks and randomly turns off. If I didn't have the vent button going off telling me it was sensing my voice at those common times, I might very well have gotten cut off at any time.
Anyway, I'm hoping to get a better mic before doing any more casts. Misfortune, you had good advice and I'll take it.

Nice cast, great job. Really good game to watch to, gj to both teams. Looking forward to the next game.
It's LLLODAAA. Not Lawlda.. god. lol. Also the ventrilo chat sound was rather annoying.

Yeah it was a good game for both teams.
I particularly thought Pharaoh was quite passive. He didn't gank until quite late into the game. And it's not like he had to stay in lane against TB.

Loda imo is in the top 3 best players in the world.
Hes a top3 carry in Dota yes, which usually means top3 overall to the vast majority. He is though, hands down, second to none and challenged by none when it comes to farming.
I would approximate that from the countless Loda-games i've watched the last year (which is pretty much any available on the big sites) he's above all others when it comes to creep kills in about 90-95%.
This shows here as well, since getting a Madman with runed axe, daemonic bp, whispering helm, wingbow, shrunken head isn't something to shoo at for a 60min game, esp when he didnt really get fed with kills.
I doubt they will be a real challenge to FFS judging from that showing tho, but Loda will def. be a top carry should he switch to HoN.

Keep in mind that he never uses Hatchet to last hit easier and still outfarmed the whole enemy team. All the other VoD feature Angel ricing with Hatchet, which is quite easy.

Gotta say that i really disliked that pharaoh early on. He just focused on farming a pipe (which isn't bad), but i think he could do so much early on with only boots/bottle and few ganks. Also, who needs a Hatchet to get last hits against zeus?

To sinister. You did a good job man. It seems like your trying too hard though. Like trying to force excitement or something in your voice, makes you seem uncomfortable. I guess its from working with tobi because its hard to get up to his level of announcing. He could probably do it as a main career. Sounds like that dude from the K1 and mixed martial arts shows.
I think u do alot better the more you do it, maybe try to make it more natural. I liked the match though

I'll suggest something for the next time you spectate/record. See if you can get a second person to control the screen and where to look while you announce. Essentially, the other can watch the minimap constantly moving to the important places where there may be multiple ganks and such, while you can concentrate on what is being shown to give the commentary. I am sure trying to catch all the interesting parts of the game are hard enough, not to mention commenting on them in real time. Maybe a second person will make the operation run smoother.
Does the game have a function to preset camera positions? Where you can just press a button and immediately be looking at top rune, bot rune, one of the towers, etc.? That can definitely help to preset some of the hot spots.
Also, are the players of that game willing to comment on some of the choices they made, such as why they chose to ban who they did, which heroes they chose for what reason, perhaps as counters for enemy heroes, or they knew an opponent was really really good with one, etc. Or even why they made certain decisions in the game as well. Any extra input for those of us who aren't quite up there in experience would be great to help understand better the heroes that were played and items that were chosen.

Another suggestion: At the end of the game, stay for the stats screen and mouse over each hero so the viewers can pause and look at skill and item builds and all the detailed stats.

Great game, was pretty balanced until madman got way too fed compared to everyone else.
Thing is madman was ALWAYS in lane farming when there was no teambattles, magebane sat a lot waiting with the team, going for 2-3 neutrals and running around like that. Also, probably helped a whole lot how lich was ALWAYS stacking creeps (especially ancients) for madman.
Anyways, gotta love a guy that farms so well and that CAN DO IT WITHOUT USING SPELLS, which is what you just end up seeing too much and just should not be.(people using spells ALWAYS to farm, stalk + barrell spamming on creeps anyone ?)
Yup. Nice bar the cockups of not recording at some points, and yeah, going off tangent on scoreboard while there's action going on at lanes. Carries about to meet with players of opposing team etc, always a sight. But not to be, this time :)

Yes you did indeed upload at 1280x720. The stream goes through two passes, the first creates the lower resolution version as that's quicker (640x360 in this case, with the audio at the original quality though). The second pass, which in the case of a 1.2GB file won't be quick, will give you the 1280x720 stream.
Feel free to check out any of the other vids on the site such as http://www.fileplay.net/file/6272/gran-turismo-5-458-italia-tribute to see that 1280x720 is no problem at all.

I think our only bad pick was using Soul Reaper to try to baby sit Sand Wraith. We tried this in a scrim then in our match and both times the lane failed worse then tabako trying to hit on a girl at a bar. Sorry the second game wasn't as enjoyable as the first game but we'll be sure to not repeat the same mistake again.

Maybe stop listening to what the commentators say some times and take a closer look at the game, they still went in at top before magmus tp'd and died too quick for him to get there...he did not ''ABANDON'' the team.

After watching the 2nd shoutcast, not much, but I believe that was Stridah's point of view? Anyway there wasn't the annoying vent push to talk button, and the camera was fine, so that's it really. That and avoid trying to explain your gamestah situation, that dragged on and made almost no sense at all ^^.
If that was stridah's though, one thing I'd try to avoid is map dragging the camera(click on it then edge center/move, it's smoother), and if you ever focus on item builds or whatever at a point, keep looking at the minimap so you can spot fights that might happen in the middle of your talk. Really though about items, just clicking the hero and giving a quick overview is enough, don't think that many people need an explanation on why a support hero builds an astrolabe.

Look at hero's items more often...it went like 30 minutes without seeing some people's items.
And yeah look at the minimap a lot to check for ganks.

Look every two minutes for rune spawns.
Look for chicken going in any direction (you can see them on the map)
Look for other items like Booboo's items in game 2.
