Could not find string starting with "preglobalscale="1.665"" as sought by line 27 of ......\JCustom.honmod\mod.xml

Tried disabling all mods.

Edit2: Disabling Sub Zero Accursed fixed the problem. Gonna test in-game now :3

Soo Embarrassing...

Alright, figured it out. I just remembered i was once fiddling around with some files of my own, had changed Acc's preglobscale to 1.65 instead of 1.665. Changing it back to it's right number fixed it. My bad!

Everything seems to be working just fine so far! Thanks Wiggy.

Plague rider, I did him cuz when i did the spell protocal i was gna check it worked with more heroes then Accursed, The Chipper i made cuz a friend of mine asked me.

Your .honmod file is clean, i downloaded just ran it and works fine, i didn't even extract it, so your error is cause'd by another mod.

i hope it doesnt mess up projectiles on some alts

edit: as expected, heroes have fuсked up animations or projectile.
geomancer alt has wrong animations, u need to properly match them inside .mdf file
re-check all models please.

^Geomancers walking animation is f'd up (based on you s2z you released before).

Also, it won't run for me. Everytime I try to open it with Java it keeps shutting itself down. When I typed it into command prompt it says you are missing several .class files. Do you have any solution to this?

edit: fixed, nvm forgot to open it with javaw :D

I'm trying to fix it, but i'm not sure i'm capable of, cuz i don't know what's causeing this, any1 of u know why it does that, and for that matter, why doesn't all attackprojectiles work?, i don't see any reason why they shouldn't work O.o'

Basically how to change the models you have to change all the changed value's for the hero, this is the protocal i'm using

I'm sorry, but i'm afraid it's kind of hard for me to check all heroes on public games, and i don't know exactly "animations" to me, most animations looks just the same, so i don't know if they're right/wrong

The projectiles i still don't know what's causing this but i'm hoping to fix it asap

I figured it out, I am using 4 ability indicators, valk beam+axe taunt+armadon spine+fayde cull
But spine and taunt does not work / block jcustom.
There are also from the same author, so maybe thats the problem :P
I dont need em that much anyway, but EXACTLY that armadon thingie was pretty nifty :/

Btw, the autoupdate function is great!

there is no .ini on my desktop or the folder jcustom is in.
I have no clue about java (is it java anyway?) so didnt know you can integrate the .ini

It's programming in Java, and the settings are saved in a .ini file, the file is not saved in the same dir as the JCustom file, and i would a appreciate if u don't go looking for it.

I belive there is a way in java to do a config file inside the .jar file, but i like it the way it works now so i don't rly care.

here is the reason why geo animation is messed up.
you need to edit model.mdf with notepad.
here is the part of normal model.mdf from original geo. u need to look for "<anim name=" lines. this blocks contain animations.

see the order? its idle,taunt,portrait,bored.
now,geo alt:

its idle,portrait,item,bored

the thing is, each model has assigned animations in order by default and u cant change that order.
when u swap models, it uses model.mdf from original model, but since it has wrong order inside, animations become messed up. in our case, instead of walking, geo is doing smth weird because when he tries to use "run" animation there is some other instead so it fails.
so if you want to make it work properly, you need to use correct model.mdf with the skin. so either replace original model.mdf with skin one, or edit it.

with projectiles - mismatch of projectile name inside projectile.entity/hero.entity files often fuсks them up. if skin modifies attack projectile most likely it will fail (pimp slayer, flint boomstick etc)

check with local replays :) if work in perplays he will work in public too

He didnt appear in 2 ults, he even hit me to dead once, INVISIBLE^^

yea whatevs, gonna figure that out another time.

Alright, the animation system seems to be working fine, exept the facts that more heroes needs to be fixed(nomad, pesti), and after that i'll be fixing the projectiles, but something i don't understand, some of the spells work fine in public, but most look like the non-alt spell, but in pratice it works fine?

Ohh I thought i did, but obiously i added him just after i release'd the update and didn't bother to release another untill i did more change's, but coming right up!


I'm not really liking the radio button style, compared to the outdated model switcher, but let me tell you, the upcoming features are something I am looking forward to.

I'm sad to hear, but still, happy to hear ^^'

Moon Queen Alt Avatar attack projectile doesn't show ingame for me.

Beside of that, awesome application!

Should be nice if you would implement the option to save the honmod directly in the right folder (game/mods).

All heroes changing attack projectile's are currently bugged, as u can see at the post above i'm trying to fix this asap since it's DAMN annoying.

You probably already know this, but you might want to check out the other tool (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=244716), at least if you have issues with certain heroes/abilities so you can determine what the difference is between both honmods (of the other tool and yours). It might aid you in finding a fix.

This is basically another "All Alternative Hero Models Picker", and if you don't know what that is, I'll explain.


and if you did read the last project's thread, when it became discounted...

Alright, I'll continue this project, I don't know Visual basic so i'll be programming this project from the start in Java. Mac & Linux's with Java should then also be able to use this software, since i'm starting from step 1 it will prbbly take alittle while untill I'm finnished, so far i've got it working to change outfits, working on the abilitys.

Just wanted to let u guys know some1 is continuing.

Uhhm?? u say it's generating a ".honmod" cuz u can't always tell what the name is, but to be correct this mod generate's a file called "(CoN).honmod"

The software you created(CoN) is generating the HoNMod that we use. You just gotta add those lines into your source code.

The software you created(CoN) is generating the HoNMod that we use. You just gotta add those lines into your source code.

Indeed,
- Desktop option do not generate
- My documents option do not generate
- Files folder option do generate a files on my Desktop named "(CoN).honmod"

...

Alright i found the issue, basically i was using a method giving me the path to the user.home and then i add "/desktop" which abiously didn't work on pc's which ain't english, so i change'd the method to a better one, not releasing the new version yet tho

- Reprogrammed the generation system(Because it was hard to read/change when bugs accured) Also it's generating 100% faster;

- Removed the ability generation(It still didn't work properly and i'll just have to rewrite it);


and if you don't mind, i would appropriate if you weren't looking around in the code,

My english is not bad, i don't know why u cannot understand me, nobody else seems to have such problem, my spelling ain't the best i don't like typing or reading,

No i'm sorry, i'm working on the spells, you can always check at the Changelog (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=338461#Changelog) there is a "Pre-release'd" changelog which includes the changes i've done without releasing.

I feel a shame'd to release this before fixing the skills but i just haven't found the time. Please read the changelog.

And i have some ****'d up bug annoying the **** out of me,

As you can now see i've added an Alt hero menu, last option says "Enable alt", now what this does if it's checked, it's just like normal, but if it's NOT checked, it will remove this little blue icon next to the hero, now this ****'d up bug accurs, on all modifed hero's the preview model won't show up, i have seriously NO IDEA what's causeing this, so please any1 who might have a clue, tell me!!!

Can you just update the previous mod? Since this mod obviously has a lot of bugs. Also the other was made open-source. Another issue with this mod that the other didn't have is that I ALWAYS see the alt-avatar. Say if the enemy picks Witch slayer with default skin, it will always show the Alt-Avatar Slayer even if he hasn't got it.

Unless you can implement it so that it only shows the alt avatar when I pick it or when someone actually has the alt avatar I don't think I'll be using it.

Hey was using the new glad alt avatar today and keep getting dc'd when ever I use his ulti. There error that comes up when I disconnect it is something like "Missing Bits 4132" the number changes every time. Thanks for the mod and keep up the good work.

Hey i was using the King Cthuluphant and whenever it moved it seemed like it was sleeping and crawling , when it atacked and casted spells only then it stood it and other it was sleeping on the ground

I'm sorry, don't know exactly what's causing that error, for me, it working just about fine, u might wna consider if your using any other mod which could cause this mod.


Hey i was using the King Cthuluphant and whenever it moved it seemed like it was sleeping and crawling , when it atacked and casted spells only then it stood it and other it was sleeping on the ground

(And to be correct, his walking animation is "KnockDown" and his attack is "Walking")

Idk, exactly, how indicators work, but i would think, they're adding a border line thinggy thinggy to the hero, and that's when the incompatibility acurrs, cuz both of our mods are trying to edit the same file, and strings we're "searching" for, is missing, i'm not sure tho, but i hope on fixing this kinda of things when i'm finnished with all the functions, if i do finnish ofc...

then there were this icon mod, which in my opinion was 1 of the worst mods ever, i don't get the point of that, anyway, i looked at his code, he should've just replaced the old icon, instead of adding it and then editing the hero, cuz that's when our mods **** up...

sorry, i don't know what a "typo" is...

Well, either u move/save the .honmod file in /heroes of newerth/game/mods/

or, u open the HoNMoDManager and drag the file above the HoNMoDManager and then relase

Alright, then depending on your folder dir, but u might wna check your desktop, if there is no file called "(CoN).honmod" then please change it to, "Current folder" or something, and see if that works, else... idk,

Okay so for some reason i changed the output directory to file folder then it appeared to my desktop. I got the honmod file, but when i used the mod manager it said Customization of Newerth caused a problem.
This may be caused by the mod being outdated or by an incompatibility of another enabled mod.

That's correct, CoN doesn't always work, sometimes when using 2 mods imcompatibility accurs, sadly i prbbly can't fix this, and it would be good if you found out which other mod your using so you could tell me, anyway if u aren't using any other's it's prbbly being cause'd by a s2z file, u'll just have to go around and try untill u find the one which is causeing the problem.

Hmm, if you disable all kinds of things does it work then? else, i'm going to have to ask you to give me your compiled .honmod file.

Your a mac user, that might tell me why the dir output folder didn't work... the problem is just i cannot fix this problem cuz i don't know have a mac to debug it with...

What do I have to do with the (CoN).jar file?
I downloaded Java and tried to open it with Java.exe but nothing happens. (Win 7 64bit) :(

EDIT: I fixed it

Computer ==> HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT ==> Applications ==> java.exe ==> shell ==> open ==> command

open with rightclick-->change value:

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "%1" %*

umm, i set rainbow rampage 1st then unicorn rampage then rhino rampage, someone took unicorn rampage and so i was seeing normal rhino rampage and he was like stunned for the whole match , when he moves his legs were not moving , when we cast spell and attacked he was stunned , idk the exact name of that animation.

I think ur in the wrong folder... look here, i don't know exactly how it works on mac but on windows it works like this... When i say u ain't gna have any s2z in the game folder i'm talking about the following folder


C:\Program Files (x86)\Heroes of Newerth\game
the folder your looking in is the following


C:\Users\Wiggy boy\Documents\Heroes of Newerth\game
basically i think your looking in the wrong folder...

ohh and btw... if u find the right folder DO NOT delete the "resources0.s2z" it's the only file you should NOT delete

Well, could u atleast give me the location of the folder your in?, and u sure to move the folder to "File Folder" cuz that's the only one working on mac's since i cannot fix it since i don't have a ****ed up bad mac...

No, i dont' think so, obiously u have something that modifies ur HoN and therefor CoN doesn't wna work, and the only think i can tell u is to reinstall HoN but i'm not sure that'll work... so i guess not...

Well, u can still make .honmod with CoN and then use honmod manager right click the mod "export as s2z" and use it

Wiggy boy both Deadwood and Gladiator the default skin is forced to be the alt (Flaming Deadwood and Gladius Beardicus), the second skin is Jollywood and Adventure Gladiator and the third skin is Default Deadwood and Default Gladiator. Do you think this have something to do with the bug? If you want I can try to post a picture of how i left them.

Wiggy boy i saw here in my computer that if you put all 3 skins the same (3 skins as Flaming Deadwood and 3 skins as Gladius Beardicus) they play the right sprites.
My Deadwood played the falcon punch and the Gladiator played the right anchor and pitfall.

Wrethed Hottie sometimes instead of attack animation do 1st skill animation.
Revenants Alt second skill - no animation
Chippers Alt - when you autoattack sometimes its make second skill sound
Hellbringer alt - bad voice i guess

Sorry dude, but that's not on me, that's S2Games, if your crashing when i force the default avatars to the alt, then you should crash when seeing the alt's aswell, so that's S2Games problem, although i don' think it is any, it's prbbly just a coincidence

asap, always trying to move futher, as you can see i've already started on the announcers and if you check the pre-changelog you can see i'm finnished, the only thing stopping me for releasing this version is that i belive i've got a few bugs, and i'd like to fix them before... When i'm finnished with the annoucers i'll prbbly move on to the taunt's but if it'll be alot of work, i'll fix some feature's in the gui first, else i'll be dng it afterwords, and then i'll prbbly be creating the recommended shop, and thereafter the indicators,

but the announcers and taunts will be release'd before chrismas at latest time... and idk about the others..

a) The announcer works as I already said (tested!). This is on your end.
b) You can easily edit the *.xml yourself and keep custom announcers.

I don't think i'll be fixing the spells asap, they're not deadly important and i got a new ability system in mind that would save me loads of time, the only issue is that u'll be requiring to use the java version and so far CoN and java mod manager is incompatible with eachother...


Monarch doesn't show anything beyond the wings when using the alt.

There is nothing wrong with monarch's look althought she has an animation error which i'll be fixing asap

Thanks for the clean and nice report's they're all fixed, and the funny thing is this defiler bug have been there since 1.0 but i nvr relised untill now what was causing this, animations of course
