As it states, we're recruiting HoN players who want to become cameramen for live gamecasts. What you need:
- at least 1.5mb upload speed
- video capture card
- two computers
I don't expect many of you even meet the requirements, but if you happen to, don't hesitate to PM me.

I actually meet these requirements. Capture card isnt great though.

Probably one computer to watch the game and output and then the second with the capture encodes it for streaming. That's how I'd run it.

After watching a few hundred StarCraft streams of live recorded and live commentated games in great quality I'm still curious why you need two computers.

Eh well whichever. I have an HD capture card =/ I play w/ a lot of the top clans though so i know the guys n stuff. I would like to do this o.O

I've to say, after watching few of your videos, a better cameraman is needed ;)
The problems that should be adressed:
- bad item tracking; why not select the hero in the middle of the screen ?
- lack of reactifivity with teamfights, especially during laning period.

Pardon my french but, no ****, hence this cameraman recruitment thread.
And the problem with the current camera guys is much more basic, they don't play hon. Anyhow, hopefully some of these guys will work out! :)

e-rev.tv is terrible, they tried to do COD4 and COD2 casting, was horrible. They promised the community a huge tounrament, had teams sign up and everything, and then it never happened, horrible organization.

hehe my connection owns him....
got 3 computers all above 5600AMD with 4go ram....
but I don't have capture card as well.... unless 260gtx can be considered capture card (but no they're not)
don't plan on getting one, unless e.rev gives any kind of compensation for the work?

Hmmm, last i checked we were the top casting company in competitive CoD4 and just to say your wrong about a tournament. E-Rev does not sponsor teams or host its own tournament. We do promote tournaments for our partner compainies to better the competitive community. So if you saying we were going to do a tournament I can assure you that you are mistaken with your casting companies.

All I am missing is a Capture card. I just got a brand new computer, I have a good connection, and I have a seperate PC. I may just go buy a CC because I feel that we need better camerman.
Is there a reason for the second computer, Stridah if you are serious, pm me or let me know the details and I will see if I can take on being the Cameraman.
I am available 3-4 days a week all day. Sun-Tues, Every oth Sat. The other days I can squeeze games in inbetween work.

You don't need a capture card. I can help you set it up with software. It's extremely easy with Linux. Also, 1.5Mbps is not needed at the resolution you do.
If Vadi wants to volunteer (he runs Linux) and has a decent-ish connection, then maybe we can sort something out.

You'd have to be extremely disillusioned to think you have some exclusive tech. In fact, they (and similar websites) are probably infringing on many patents.
Just curios, if the Camera man were to have a fantastic connection, is there any way e`rev would be able to bump up the quality of the videos?

Cool story, bro. "Pretty sure" you have no way of telling, since I've met people around here who wholeheartedly believe that kinda thing.
btw any one who was wondering why the second computer, the idea is to play hon on one computer, and capture the video (via a second video output from your graphics card) to the capture card of computer 2 and encode/upload it from there.

The issue is more about their current encoding process to the web +the delay, encoding is hard on your computer, and lets be honest we want hon to look like hon, and not dota, so +gfx are better.
